Last week we saw the formation of Shadowpact. This week we are going to dive right into their very own comic!!! If you are a fan of Justice League Dark (Vol. 1 or Vol. 2), this team is definitely for you!

*Please note that when I was making this list I have seen conflicting books in the first TPB. One source says 1-3 and 5-8 and then another source says 1-5. I might be adding books after I begin to read as I don’t read books before our club.

It is a light week for horror comics but what are you most excited for? I can’t wait to dive into the 4th issue of Sweet Tooth: The Return myself.

No random poll this week. House of Horror will be celebrating our One Year Later Anniversary in a few months which means @LaserPuff and I are thinking up some things. All I can say, expect BIG!!!

Shadowpact is unreal, & my Just Gorgeous thread wasn’t up yet…&, it has amazing pics of deeper cut characters I love, & need on that thread. A good Nightshade, Enchantress, Strega, & Witchfire just to name a few… might be reread time…?

It does seem like a great time for a re-read. I am trying to knock out some of my comics on the evergrowing stack today but I do have Shadowpact to be read in my very near future.

Same. I’m behind b/c of Olympics. Than we got Stargirl, Titans, Doom Patrol, The BROWNS!!! All tonight or around the corner plus Indians…lol. Great stuff rolling in.

Nice to see the Shadowpact still working together. I thought the Enchantress’s solution to breaking the containment spell was a pretty good one, even if it cost them a year. Nice to see Detective Chimp take down his opponent.

I want to know who the host of Spectre ended up being.

Spectre got a new host during Infinite Crisis, his name was Crispus Allen. He was the Spectre in Tales of the Unexpected. Chronologically, Day of Vengeance would be the first “chapter” in that story.

Finishing the first 5 books of Shadowpact was a fun experience. I am really enjoying this team. I like how Blue Devil interacts with his community. I also enjoyed the main story arc of seeing the small town be covered by a dome made of a blood curse. Seeing Superman be told by Phantom Stranger that he shouldn’t battle whatever is in the blood dome was pretty excellent. I couldn’t help but think that Superman already knew he was a horrible choice to go in there but he still wanted to. Pure boy scout Superman.

I would love to see a new Shadowpact series that spins out of Justice League Dark. I definitely see the possibility there.

Right…? I just assumed it extended somewhere else in the DCU, but nope. Got canceled. I still plan on rereading it multiple times tho. Plus, some characters that’s the most you’ll see of in one spot & I love the characters.

Right? It was such a unique team, bringing out older characters and giving them another chance to live mixed with a few characters that were more popular in the 80s (Enchantress, I am looking at you).

Haha. Idk why? but I love the Sabrina the Witch looking 80’s Enchantress lol. I love her period tho so I’m extremely biased…
