summons his innner-'60s Shatner impression

Must…resist…pull…of Frankenstein, Agent of S.H.A.D.E., but…may not…be able to resist pull of The New 52’s…best quirky, yet completely badass…book.

ends admittedly pretty good impression

Seriously, how can one not love a series that has stuff like this…

…in it? You can’t not love this book, its just a fact.

See? Ms. Tomei’s a fan of it too, and she was under oath.

I have read the conclusion of the Rotworld saga and a few thoughts. First, I really enjoyed the story. I even enjoyed the Frankenstein Agent of S.H.A.D.E. books. However, I don’t think it is needed to tell the story that was being told in Animal Man and Swamp Thing. It does give a little insight into what else was happening in the world and it is a fun read.

Animal Man and Swamp Thing continued the combo effort of a great slow burn. I did enjoy how each book mirrored the other to the point that if you were only reading Animal Man or Swamp Thing you would still be able to follow along. In many ways, this is my favorite sort of comic event.

His wife’s badass, that’s for sure.

hopes that, one day, we’ll get Frankenstein, Agent of S.H.A.D.E. figures

Oh man that would be awesome :sunglasses:!!! I never even realized they don’t have any? Every time someone asks a figure wish list- I never thought of that crew. Gotta remember that one. Bride could have multiple accessories with those 4 arms. She likes her guns tho. Hey, 4 guns, cool with me. Maybe gun, sword, transponder, & a shield…?

Frankenstein and the S.H.A.D.E. crew are definitely up McFarlane’s alley, so I hope we’ll see them at some point.

I remember Rotworld being a decent storyline, if a bit chaotic at times. The addition of a new force in the same vein as The Green or The Red is the one genuinely welcomed addition the New 52 era contributed to the Swamp Thing mythos. Unfortunately, it came at the cost of Abigail Arcane being forced to leave Swamp Thing as she becomes The Rot’s avatar. And as far as I can tell, she hasn’t been seen in comics since and only briefly mentioned once or twice.
