Considering Ivy already gets mentioned a lot in other discussions and threads, I realize this runs the risk of slipping into obscurity. But I think the love we all have for this character will still make it a lively thread.
Poison Ivy started off as a clear cut villain decades ago, based and inspired by the femme fatale character type. However, as the world has evolved and become truly aware of how we affect the planet, Ivy is now seen and written as a more nuanced and even sympathetic character. Call her a villain, an ecoterrorist, Mother Nature’s Messiah, a revolutionary…they all apply in their own way. Consider this a place to discuss and celebrate Poison Ivy - one of DC’s most layered characters with one of the best examples of character growth.
I should mention that if you want to discuss the current Poison Ivy book, check out this discussion thread first, created by the awesome
@Razzzcat - after you do that though, feel free to still bring your thoughts here
Pamela Isley has been a lot of things in her life. A living god, a super-villain, an activist, a scientist, and dead. In a new body that she didn’t ask for and with a renewed sense of purpose, Ivy leaves Gotham and sets out to complete her greatest work—a gift to the world that will heal the damage dealt to it…

Might as well drop these spotlights and other points of interest while I’m here:
In the recent DC Daily watch along they recently bright up the debate. It reminded a video I’ve seen after having a debate with friends about the same topic.
This lead me to the conclude no one knows not even DC. So I would like to ask the fans.
What do you think she eats?
I personally think as mentioned in the video she eats mainly fruit. As the are naturally falling it is not hurting the plant. But she may consume meat from time to time but not much as they do help nature.
Welcome to our speculative stadium, where legends duke it out and winner takes all! All what? No one knows! We’re just here to have fun!
Near the end of April each year, we show our support for the environment and the planet on Earth Day. This week’s fight is going to focus on the two greatest defenders of nature in the DC Universe-Poison Ivy and Swamp Thing!
Dr. Pamela Isley is a brilliant botanist who can control plants, release mind-controlling pheromones, and poison with her very touch. Af…

[Pride_Profile_Harley Quinn_Poison Ivy]
Pride Profile: Harley and Ivy. These two characters were not created with each other in mind, but it seems that way to their passionate fan base. Pamela Lillian Isley first appears in Batman #181 in 1966 to challenge three other women over the title of number one female criminal in Gotham. Robin immediately worries Batman might be falling for femme fatale. Harleen Quinzel joins the DC animated universe as the Clown Prince of Crime’s henchman …

Here at DC, we have plenty of heroes who fight to protect the Earth, but the real work falls on each and every one of us. Today is Earth Day, and it’s the perfect time to look at what we can do to ensure that our planet has a long and healthy future. However, don’t worry if you’re not sure where to start. It’s hard to find an environmentalist bigger than our very own Poison Ivy, so this Earth Day, let’s all follow her example. Here are five…
If you’re a Harley/Ivy shipper, then you have plenty of reasons to be celebrating right now. A recent episode of DC Universe’s Harley Quinn ended with the Lady of Lunacy locking lips with the Princess of Plants as they escaped Bane’s underground prison. The moment was a long time coming and was a culmination of something that had been building ever since the show’s first episode. What, did you really think that Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn were just friends?! Fans of the villainous vi…
Just felt like sharing a gallery of the snuggliest fan art that I found of my favorite DCU couple on Pinterest and reddit.
^This one especially is just so raw and beautiful. I wish Harley and Ivy woke up in a cozy embrace like this after both of their encounters in the Bachelorette episode of the Harley Quinn series on this service.

I also brought a thing…(because I was looking at some Dan Mora earlier today)
I’m here for this topic! Poison Ivy has always been a favorite of mine in the DC universe. She has a lot more depth as a character now than I feel she was given at her arrival, which delights my eyes. Whether a villain or eco-terrorist, imagine being able to talk to this organic spaceship we travel the universe on, then imagine being able to feel it’s pain. I would kill a few hundred oil and gas men myself, most likely. The fact that I often understand her motives, makes her relatable to me personally
I think it would be very interesting if a Batman movie made her the antagonist. There is a lot that can be explored in that set-up
Ivy being hot is an extra bonus
Oh yea, one of the hottest characters in all of fiction
What did you think of Uma Thurman’s portrayal?
@DC89 whenever Alicia Silverstone’s Batgirl gets brought up - I don’t know her!
To be fair, I blame the writing and directing, not her specifically
(For the millionth time - No, I’m not letting it go. Ever.):
We want Isley!!!
Stop! My heart can only handle so much!
I want that book so bad. I really do. Maybe we also beg for the Swampy/Ivy story we want, while we’re here?
Let me drop this variant too, while I’m here…
Their cuddly romantic covers are some of the most wholesome things in existence. Next to kittins and hedghogs.
Who’s the angry lady with the viney hole in her face?
Jk, y’all. I’m back to share thisss.
Now I need to go find a charger
Razz has critically low battery . Bye.
She is a terrible monster, and I am right now heading her way to put her back in Arkham.
*Quickly thinking * She’s currently… in Gotham Park on parole. She’s showing kids how to plant flowers. Harley has lemonade.
Ivy hates children. Obviously a trap.
