Are you a seasoned Smallville fan and want to discuss these episode including spoilers?
I wonder if it has something to do with how networks green light them? I think they approve them in 2-4 year increments, and then from the podcast it sounds like the actors sign on for a 7 year contract? So I think if you make it 4 years and get renewed, you’re golden. Plus, I think this is around the time they moved it to Thursdays and last podcast they mentioned the theaters advertise on those days which gives the network more money so they put their popular shows on those nights so the viewers see the ads. So all those factors make for some delicious soup

It’s amazing how much goes into running a show. Like in the first season, Miles and Al would constantly be over budget and the network was freaking out. Then the show becomes a huge hit and they started throwing money at it lol These shows have to fight for the right to party good thing Smallville had some warriors on it’s side!
