Yep. Plus, they’re supposedly starting digitization of Zatanna (1993) and Superman: The Secret Years next week. Are we really not getting the rest of those series, or did they just not make it to this list somehow?

Edit: Welp, Comixology only shows the first issues of Zatanna and Superman, while showing the four issues of New Guardians, so I guess that answers that. The DC digitization team has made a lot of strange decisions over the years, but this one is utterly confounding.

Also, digitizing New Guardians before digitizing Millennium makes even less sense. At this point, I’m convinced the digitization team is just throwing darts at a board.

Oh snap, I didn’t realize the Peacemaker one-shot was going to be on DCUI same-day! That’s cool.

Oh wow! This is featuring Gregorio de la Vega, one of DC’s original queer characters! :00_dc_pride:

I’m surprised still no Elvira special.

A series, or just a one-shot?

Ugh. Only three back-issue titles in January.
Maybe there will be something in February… Crosses fingers…

What does that mean?

The Elvira special was basically the last issue of the recently digitized Elvira series.

Oh, man – I’m happy to see a weird, of-its-time series like New Guardians get digitized… but I sure hope the lack of anything else in the back issues but the regular Milestone books and New Guardians is an oversight. Hopefully we’ll get the Zatanna and Superman: The Secret Years books that were just starting as well. (And, eventually, that Elvira special… although at this point I’d expect it to be held off till Halloween.)

I’ve been waiting for them to digitize Millennium for some time. They’ve digitized SOME of the tie-in issues but without the mini-series, some of those tie-ins don’t make a lot of sense.

Only three titles:
New Guardians

Got to echo I hope it isn’t some kind of bad sign that we are only getting 3 archival comics a week next month. And as others have said it is bizarre to archive the first issues of two mini-series then not put the rest up for at least a month if not more. I mean I get that the decisions are not based around DCUI members for the most part, and not like I am hurting for stuff to read so fine. But from the business standpoint, who is going to buy just the first issue of Zatanna or Superman: The Secret Years on Comixology or the like if they see the others are not there? And are more people really going to buy New Guardians over either of those series?

Hell they make a habit of doing that people who are buying comics as they go up might hesitate if they notice DC can’t be relied on to post them regularly. I know they don’t have everything in the DC archives, but if that is the reason for Zatanna and Secret Years why even digitize the first issue? It is just weird.

And on a personal petty note I am honestly a bit salty that they at the last minute decided not to digitize Karate Kid but New Guardians is somehow important enough to add? I mean yeah no one remembers the Karate Kid series, but is there some low key interest in New Guardians?

Sorry end of rant and not trying to sound bitter or anything. It’s just weird.

I’m a little partial to the “new” stuff and that includes all the :sparkles: and :1st_place_medal: books fit that criteria so I will literally read every one of those that’s on the list. But for the 10 books I’m most looking forward to:

  1. Future State: Gotham #3
  2. Infinite Frontier #2
  3. Shazam! #1
  4. Superman and the Authority #1
  5. Peacemaker: Disturbing the Peace #1
  6. Justice League Infinity #1
  7. The Swamp Thing #5
  8. Batman: The Detective #4
  9. Static: Season One #5
  10. TIE: Justice League #64 & Justice League #65 (Gotta see what Hawkgirl is up to!)

I love that, a year later, Future State is still a part of the ongoing DC Universe and since I’ve read every new book that has come out since the Future State/Infinite Frontier event began I’m definitely looking forward to ‘Future State: Gotham #3’ and ‘Infinite Frontier #2’ the most.

I love me some Shazam! so reading the first issue of his latest adventures is very high on my list. Superman has been one of my favorite characters since the whole Infinite Frontier event began so I’m very intrigued by ‘Superman and the Authority #1’.

Like most of us I’m really looking forward to the Peacemaker series on HBO Max and love that he has a comic series starting up around the same time so that’s a must-read for me.

The Swamp Thing is a long-time favorite of mine and I’m always anxious to get my hands on the latest issue of his adventures.

Batman: The Detective is focusing on the part of the Batman character I enjoy the most so that should continue to be a fun read.

Static has been my favorite character in the Milestone world since it relaunched and I’m looking forward to seeing where his story goes in issue #5.

And I love Hawkman and Hawkgirl so any book with them in it will get my attention and that means I’m here for Justice League #64 and #65.

I can’t wait for more of The Nice House On the Lake!!! Even tho there’s none up there, the Zatanna issues are a dream come true!! Ty for adding those. I didn’t think I’d ever see anymore Zee solo issues on here.
