If anything I was thinking you would mostly drop the mutants from the story, as well as the “Batman vs Superman” part since that was more or less done in BvS. Instead focus more on Joker and Two-Face (Aaron Eckhart is also welcome back. Yeah it seems like he dies but I think they could spin it)
I think you could still do Bat Family movies and other Gotham based stories but when Batman comes up people have to be like:
“Batman? he died a long time ago.”
“Batman? nah, I heard he went underground and is taking down dictators in the middle east”
“Batman? My buddy swears he saw him by the docks last Saturday”
…stuff like that
