Please disregard the previous post, which had Apr 4th and Mar 28th swapped.
Didn’t know Swamp Thing was in Challengers, but that does make sense. I mean, I didn’t have to think hard to know why so many issues of Teen Titans and Detective Comics were being added. But was at a loss on why Challengers was getting so much preference.
They usually pick about three different titles, usually spread pretty far apart in their history, and then just go through and digitize a long stretch of them.
It’s just Challengers turn, is all.
That’s how they got pretty much every other back catalog title digitized. A few issues each week of three or four focused titles for the last eight years.
Edited to add: and, yes, I do agree with why they chose those particular issues to digitize right now. #82-87 are the last issues of the series.
Hopefully, they’ll come back to it in the near future and do the rest.
Not only is that the end of the Challengers series, but #53 was also the last issue of Teen Titans.
This means next week, they’ll most likely be starting on two other titles.
Meanwhile, Detective #366-368 would finish closing up a gap, as #370 is already digitized.
They may pause there, but with them only having to make it to #387 to reach the next block of issues, they may just continue with Detective for a few more weeks.
They have been posting this month during the bulk deploy of the zillions of comics.
We don’t know if they’ll be posting a list of newly added comics each week, but I’m guessing they probably will.
