Less a log entry than an update. I’m currently sitting at 932 miles for the year, giving me a relatively light 68 miles to go to hit 1,000 for the seventh straight year
My challenge app wasn’t picking up any prior runs for it’s weird “2k Hannukah Hustle” … so I took a slow, sleepy Friday morning to just run exactly 2k. Apparently, I’m just an idiot and didn’t add it correctly, but I got 2k done. (And watched the Blue Harvest episode of Ewoks for the first time in my life. I love you, Paul Dini.)
Definitely similar style (pre-computer animation, but lower budget that Disney). Campy and silly, but a lot of fun. It’s on Disney+ if you have it. Theme song by Taj and Inshirah Mahal. Sixteen year old Cree Summer’s second recurring role (as Princess Kneesa). Ewoks inexplicably speaking Basic with a handful of token Ewokese phrases (including Ee che wa wa) so kids don’t need to read on Saturday mornings. Endorian arch nemesis species that’s essentially The Grinch. Adolescent love triangles. I highly recommend it.
Also, I thought “libro de cromos” was a coloring book, but it’s a STICKER BOOK. Now I want one.

Had some really good runs this month. I still love weekend long runs with my running BFF and we cranked out a pretty good one this Sunday. For once she let me lead and we ran our furthest together in years at our third fastest pace. She said I can lead from now on.
I’m at 673 for the year right now so we’ll see how far over 700 I make it. I could probably have a higher mileage if I did more roads but I love playing in the mud and snow for some reason. There is a trail running quote that I think about a lot:
“And there I was barreling down the trail passing the rocks and trees like they were standing still.”
