Obscurity of DC Presents: Ultra-bscure Book Club, Week 42 (October 1-October 7) --- CMYK!

Welcome, @ObscurityofDCClub and other members of the DC Community! Welcome to Obscurity of DC’s forty-second Ultr-Obscure Book Club! This week, we’ll be focusing on…

Number of Issues: 4

Synopsis from dc.fandom.com: Vertigo Quarterly: CMYK was a quarterly series, released as an anthology of new stories by various creative teams. The four issues are themed to the four colours associated with the CMYK printing standard. The first quarter is themed to the colour Cyan, the second to Magenta, the third to Yellow, and the fourth to Black (the K stands for “Key”, as black is the key by which the values for the other three colours is set). This series was followed by Vertigo Quarterly: SFX.

Now that that’s over with, here are some discussion questions:

  1. Of all of the issues, which was your favorite? Why?
  2. Of all of the individual stories, which was your favorite? Why?
  3. What role does color play in the anthology?
  4. What were some key similarities and differences between each issue in your opinion? Explain.
  5. The “K” in “CMYK” stands for “Key.” How do you think the series made the fourth issue such a key part of the series?

Do you have an interest in exploring the unknown? Do you like discussing comics? Do you like pineapple on pizza? If so, The Obscurity of DC Club is the club for you! Join HERE if you’re interested!

Nice choice.

Hope everyone is able to find physical copies out there. :+1:

Thank you! OODC actually has polls to decide which series/characters to focus on for the next week.
