Name the Character(s) Best Fit SEASON 2

OPERATION: TIME TRAVEL, UNIVERSAL TRAVEL, AND SPACE TRAVEL OH MY!

I choose Jay Garrick Flash and John Doe

Obscure knowledge of loose ends to the rescue! In New 52’s earth-2 four rockets were fired from Krypton. Three happened to all land on earth. The fourth disappeared with occupants unknown. As it happened Jay Garrick, the Flash of earth-2, found the baby in space. Jay knew of the troubles caused by Zoom and took this baby back in time in that other earth right to the second after RF took Kal. The Kents will adopt the new baby from Krypton and no one will know the difference. The baby will grow up just as powerful as Kal and, together with Jay, will be a match for the evil not-quite-last son of Krypton and RF!

-The last son of NML aka… Batman!

OPERATION: NINJA’D
So, our main problem is Thawne swooping baby Kal-El.

Now, we’re not supposed to alter Kal’s timeline, which I’m interpreting to mean that he won’t notice our heroes’ intervention. As such, I choose BOOSTER GOLD and the MARTIAN MANHUNTER.

Booster will bring them back to the day when Kal-El landed. Martian Manhunter will turn invisible and lie in wait near where the rocket is supposed to land. When Reverse-Flash arrives, Martian Manhunter will create a psychic illusion of the rocket landing. When Reverse-Flash attempts to access the “rocket” he’ll start a “self-destruct sequence” that destroys both rocket and baby. He’ll probably decide that killing Superman is close enough and return to the present. We’ll get back to stopping him later.

While all this was happening, we need to make sure the real rocket doesn’t land in the same spot. That’s where Booster Gold comes back in. Using his force field-generating suit, he’ll nudge the rocket very slightly off-course, landing a mile or so up the road, where the Kents will discover it only a few minutes earlier than they were supposed to, leaving the timeline otherwise intact.

Now, while Reverse-Flash was around, J’onn will read his mind and figure out what time and location he intends to return to. He and Booster will then just go back a few hours before when Reverse-Flash is supposed to return and rally the Justice League to get the jump on him.

Operation: Switch & Bait

The kidnapping of Kal-el sent tidal waves through time eventually reaching the 30th Century and the Legion of Superheroes. Thinking quickly Chameleon Boy and Mon-el get in a time bubble and comeback to the distant past.

Reverse Flash is a considerable foe, but he is ground bound. Cham and Mon intercept Kal-el’s rocket in the upper atmosphere and Cham assumes the form of future Supes, while Mon-el safely tucks away the real deal.

The rocket lands where it is supposed to close to when it was supposed to. Reverse Flash admires his brilliance for a moment to long after opening the hatch as Reep turns into something big and hideous. Thawne is stunned long enough for Mon-el to fly in and put a sunday punch on his jaw.

Kal-el is recovered and put back where he belongs and the Legionnaires return to their time and drop off Reverse Flash someplace he won’t be found for a very long time.

OPERATION: SURGICAL TIME STRIKE

Broken by a hard life, Rip Hunter is tired of so many villains abusing time travel and doing so much damage to the space time continuum. Thawn’s latest escapade draws Rip’s attention, and his ire-- so he decides to do something about the Reverse-Flash once and for all-- something permanent. He;s not that kind of killer, himself-- so he needs someone who is. He picks Cheshire-- and exchanges one hour of stealing 25th century tech as payment for hunting down and killing Eobard Thawne…before he can affect Kal’s life-- slowly for the many deaths he’s caused.

Yea.

We’ve gone black label, baby.

Today’s winner is…@Wildstorm-Jeff!!!

@TheBatgirlofNML u out would have won, or at least tied, but there was a flaw in your solution… Earth 2 will now have no Superman, thus iniating the butterfly affect, causing the whole Earth 2 timeline to go beserk and maybe even change things throughout the multiverse. Second, Earth one now has 2 Superman’s, very big problem.

Week 7 scoreboard:
@TheBatmanofNML-1
@Wildstorm-Jeff-1

Week 7; episode 33: Opposite Day Tuesday

The flash has escaped ironheights prison. He’s on the loose causing chaos. His pessimistic point of view on the world is what drives him to do more and more evil. Without using any speedsters, use one hero to stop the speed demon himself. Please explain.

I respect your ruling but want to point out that it wasn’t Superman (Kal-El) in the rocket, or the other Superman (Val-Zod), or Kara Zor-EL. We never were told who it was only that there was a fourth rocket with occupant unknown that went missing.

I realized last night after the post [heh post-post] that I never explicitly defeated the villain so I don’t think I should win anyways. Today’s post coming soon…

OPERATION: FANCY PUN TITLE I CANNOT THINK UP!

I choose that patron of truth and justice, Klarion the witch-boy!

Klarion will be dutifully watching over the Tower of Fa- Ahem Order ,when he will notice the chaos caused by this terrible evil. Klarion will cast a spell over the scoundrel speedster that freezes him in time or at least slows him to the speed of a normal person.

Some other heroes [glares at Dr. Fate] would consider the problem solved and leave the helpless Flash to the police. Not Klarion! Klarion will escort Flash to prison and use a memorized, often used spell to clean up the mess created by the fastest criminal alive! Klarion will also have some encouraging words for the speedster in hopes of one day curing him of his pessimistic views!

[for future reference, is Metron of the New Gods a hero or villain?]

Well… here goes!
Season: 2 Episode: one more than whatever the last one was: Nior

For best reading watch this at the same time!

It was a cold, foggy day. The kind of cold, foggy day that made people on the streets ghosts and people indoors say “wow, it’s cold and foggy today.” Jim stared through the fog at the body. The boys were complaining about how cold the wet cobblestone street was. The body was arranged in a life-like position by a newspaper box. It had been found just after sun set by a Dr. John Watson. Jim had called the Bat first. That deep voice had replied that he was too busy for the case. Jim had asked for another detective. Bats muttered that the monkey was busy whatever that meant and that Jim would have to come up with something. Jim stared at the body and thought about the word “zombie” scrawled across the paper the poor bloke had been carrying. Jim looked in the fog above him and realized the perfect candidate for this caper was…

Which one hero did did Jim think up? Who committed the crime? The clues are all there! (except for the who he thought up part, that’s on you).

OPERATION: ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTION
The best way to catch this killer who is probably Victor Zsasz is to call someone who has almost exactly the same name: Charles Victor Szasz, AKA Vic Sage, AKA the Question! Unfortunately, he’s probably either dead or in a different part of the country, but that’s also perfectly fine, because Gotham City has its own in-house Question, Renee Montoya.

And that’s a better idea anyway, since Montoya is more likely to recognize Zsasz’s MO and get on his trail.

After a thorough study of yesterday’s many answers, I have, with much difficulty, decided that the winner is… @JeepersItsTheJamags! Lest you think it was by default, it was a good answer and you solved the case!
