This Week’s Theme: Wildcats

The subject of this week’s playlist is, like Harley, celebrating it’s thirtieth anniversary this year-Wildcats! Whether you’re a longtime fan or looking forward to reading WildC.A.Ts: Covert Action Teams #1 when it arrives tomorrow, what songs do you think belong on the ultimate Wildcats playlist? Share your choices with us below!

Due to the high volume of submissions and the limited number of hours in a day, we’ll be selecting two songs from each member, but feel free to share as many as you like!

:headphones: Curious what Mixtape Monday is? :headphones:
Every week, we’ll post the title of our latest Mixtape, and you post tracks of your choice in the comments below! We’ll follow up next Mixtape Monday with the list of tunes, two from each user, collected from the week before. And if our “What’s the Last Song You Heard?” thread is any indication, you all have superb taste in tunes!

For our hardcore music lovers, we suggest joining Inky’s Mixtape Mob , a group created to bring all music lovers together in one place. Joining Inky’s Mixtape Mob will make sure you get notified of every playlist update, as well as offer you a custom flair and title to show off your maestro-dom!

While lyrics must abide to Forum Guidelines , the songs can be anything, of any genre, as long as it meets each week’s theme!

Hey @Green.Lantern,
When I think of Wildcat, I think of Rocky’s theme!:boxing_glove:

We can always begin with the obvious, though I’m not a fan of this particular theme song:

I’m just gonna say for Ted grant Elvis Presley - Jailhouse Rock (Official Audio) - YouTube

OK, I’m a little confused now. Are we doing WildC.A.T.S. or Wildcat?

WildC.A.T.S.! But anything wildcat related is totally fine too, if that’s what people want to share. :black_cat:

Oh, well we gotta lead off with everyone’s favorite Kherubim!

And maybe I’m the only one who’s favorite WildC.A.T. was Adrianna Tereshkova, but I had to use C/A/T for my second slot if for the novelty factor alone.

I considered everything released by SubPop between 1986 and 1994, but Grunge is more a Gen13 member than WildC.A.T.s, if I recall, so I’ll tangentially slot in some Melvins in honor of Emp:

Anyone ever realize that of all Roxy Music’s lousy songs, one of their earliest and creepiest could easily be interpreted as from the point of view of Maxine’s father? Nah, me either.

How about this one, especially for you Elvis fans out there:

Happy Mixtape Monday,y’all!

When I think of 90s Image-style covert-ops teams, I think of the intensity of this song and music video:

And for the warring factions of the Kherubim and Daemonites:

@Green.Lantern I do apologize for mixing up with a wrong Wildcat, I really thought it was about the JSA boxing hero. Hopefully my two picks fits well for Wild C.A.T.S. :slightly_smiling_face:

But seriously, I think this song kind of matches the energy of the 90s series:
