CONSOLATION WEST: DARK KNIGHTS: METAL
Seven nightmarish versions of Batman from seven dying alternate realities have been recruited by the dark god Barbatos to terrorize the World’s Greatest Heroes in our universe. They threaten life across the Multiverse, and the Justice League may be powerless to stop them! We introduce you to: The Batman Who Laughs: a lunatic driven mad by his world’s Joker. The Red Death: a thief who stole his reality’s Speed Force power. The Drowned: a female, amphibious Batman. The Dawnbreaker: a twisted Green Lantern. The Murder Machine: a deranged, deadly cyborg. The Merciless: a warrior who wears the helmet of Ares. The Devastator: a part-human, part-Doomsday monster.
- This scenario is in reference to the Dark Knights Rising series of one-shot tie-ins to Dark Knights: Metal which provides origins for the dark Batmen.
- Defeat the dark Batmen
- Remember, they are not a dark version of the Justice League, they are Dark Bruce Waynes with basically the powers of the Justice League

Mind-controlling mastermind Maxwell Lord, former sponsor of the Justice League International, murderer of Ted Kord, and the mastermind behind the OMAC project is brought back by the White Light Entity (Brightest Day) with the task of preventing Magog from inciting the events of Kingdom Come. Lord uses his powers to erase his existence from the memories and records of everyone on earth.
He mostly succeeds, but four heroes, all from the former J.L.I., remember him: Captain Atom, Booster Gold, Fire, and Ice. They soon realize that Lord is willing to sacrifice his alleged friends and innocent civilians in pursuit of his goals, but with him actively working to discredit them, they have to fight not only against the forces of darkness, but their own friends and allies. They team up with legacy characters Blue Beetle and Rocket Red. But are they foiling Max’s plans? Or playing right into his hands?

Once again, Jaime Reyes is perfectly suited for this scenario. He was responsible for neutralizing Maxwell Lord’s Brother Eye and its OMAC Soldiers in Infinite Crisis, and he can do it again here.
Although Lord’s discord has sown the superhero community against itself, the Major Arcana does have a member among them who can establish harmony — after all, it was the very reason that Dove was chosen by the Lords of Order to be their emissary of piece.
And even if the world’s heroes don’t necessarily believe the Arcana themselves, none of them can deny that Madame Xanadu’s cards never lie. Even avoiding the particulars of Lord’s identity, Xanadu can help steer the world’s heroes in the right direction to prevent calamity as Ice, Lightray, and Damage take on his forces head-on.

The ThunderKats and the Legacy League are two of my favorite lineups, so this was not easy… but if you need someone to dismantle a team of evil Batmen, you need an Oracle leading the charge.
The Wonder Society and the Bookworm Brigade are both well suited for Generation Lost, and I think both teams have what it takes. However, I really would like to see what kind of mind games John Constantine especially gets into with Max Lord.

Don’t sell yourself short. Hourman would at least be immune the the mind wipe.
And Tomorrow Woman possibly? She’s familiar with Ivo’s tech. He was a big player in this story.
