End-of-the-World Cup (DC Villain Draft League)

@Jurisdiction and @PhoenixTalion. Here are the tiebreaker rules. Whenever you are ready one of you can roll for it. These events are meant to have a little less effort involved than the regular events. We’ll probably want to have this settled by the time we get to the Halloween event. We could hold it this Friday if that works for you?

Once we’ve rolled and have our event, I’ll add a little more clarification if needed. If there’s one event you really both like we can skip to that.

Tie-Breakers
During the regular season, polling ties will not be broken. An outright win will award you 2 points, a tie 1 is point each, and loss is 0 points. Tie-breakers will be used in the event of regular season standing ties or post season polling ties.

Roll 1d4

1. A Lair with Flair

We know your team keeps busy with diabolical plots and evil schemes, but at the end of the day you need a place to unwind and…devise more plots and schemes.

Describe your team’s Evil Lair! In addition to what it looks like, what it’s called and where its located give use a few other prominent details such as:

  • Throne rooms or dungeons
  • Oversized weapons of mass destructions
  • Death traps such as shark pools and lava pits
  • etc.

Best Lair wins!

2. Apocalypse How?

Briefly describe how you’d cause the Earth’s spectacular destruction. Use whatever villains from your team you’d like. Voters to choose based on the creativity and plausibility of the scheme.

3. Beat the Best to Be the Best

Match your team’s villains against the formidable Justice League League 2023 champions. For each match pair describe your strategy in FIVE WORDS. Voters will vote based on which team has the more favorable matchups.

List your 1 vs 1 duels against the following heroes.

Heroines of Justice:

  • Nubia VS. ______
  • Karen Starr (Power Girl) VS. ______
  • Mary Batson (Mary Marvel) VS. ______
  • Mera VS. ______
  • Shiera Sanders-Hall (Hawkgirl) VS. ______
  • Harley Quinn VS. ______
4. Henchmates

Behind every great supervillain is a great…number of expendable mooks to do your dirty work. Create a recruitment ad to attract henchman to work for your criminal enterprise.

Here are some sample talking points that you may want to cover…

Position: Evil prison guard
Job Duties: Sleeping or turning your back to jailed heroes, leave jail cell keys within reach
Qualifications: Easily distractable, poor aim, extremely gullible
Benefits: 10% black market weapons discount, free cybernetic implants, no dental

Voters to choose based on entertainment value, humor, etc.

@casasstrophe and @DreamingGirlWonder, you guys have a bit of a head start if you want to start thinking about the new character you want to create and what team you want to “harvest powers” from. Check out the semifinals post if you’re confused.

I’ll do a quick roll to decide who picks first. Remember we’re picking teams within Injustice Conference. Also totally no rush. We have at least two weeks before semis. Cas is 1, DGW is 2.
