The ad in the show for the Mentall-o’s cereal was a mock ad made for the show. In the comics, Flex originally was a Charles Atlas parody and was born out of an ad similar to his. He was a fictional character in an ad that was brought to life by a magic pen.
I’m assuming they did the cereal ad because Charles Atlas sued DC over Flex.

Cyborg is in the preview for the next episode, and it’ll most likely be a two-parter. So he’s quite possibly here until the end of the season.
As for next season… We have no idea who will still be here, or if any of them even survive, because there’s been no details about a renewal.

So the Doom Patrol Comics say Flex is Created by Wally Sage. Is that name Inspired by a Real Comic Book Editor, Wally Green, Who Worked alongside Arnold Drake back in the Day? Wally and Arnold Worked together at Gold Key on such Comics as Twilight Zone, Boris Karloff, Dark Shadows among others.
