Mr. Freeze is one of the few 12" Spin Master figures (if not the only one) that has an accessory. Somewhere, their 12-inch Harley is weeping, as she came with nothing for accessories.
With the above, Victor can now join the “available in all scales offered” class, as Spin Master has made him in two-inch, four-inch, six-inch and now, twelve-inch scales.
Official pics of Mafex Hush Stealth Jumper Batman.
I think it looks great for what it is but the Hush storyline still has characters that deserve to be done before variant costumes.
I’m always amused by leaks from magazines because the photo is about the same quality as a Bigfoot sighting.
Something just seems really off about the Superman torso. Flash is cool but not replace by JLU version cool.
@SWhite- I was going to include this figure but I think the Batman Returns first draft script has this character scripted as Dick. I’m thinkin’ that Bruce Timm and Paul Dini knew about this draft and that’s why they decided to draw Dick in the new costume for BTAS:
I love that Returns figure so much tho. It was the first comics accurate sculpt of Tim’s costume that had ever been made available to the public, all the way back in 1992. The packaging is pretty rad as well.
I think Supes looks fine, a repaint/retool of the Bizarro/Infected figures, which was a great Superman buck.
Called it on the Batman hazmat suite:
Now that I’m rewatching all the Bruce Timm cartoons (almost done with season 1 of BTAS, and working my way from there), I have a newfound appreciation for the animated figures. I may cave and hunt down ones already released and pre-order Flash
That’s always the problem I have with these lines and my collecting habits. I’m fine with not getting the animated figures because I have the DCD version of the JL animated. But then they’ll dig deeper and I’ll be like “shoot I should have gotten the early ones!” Like how I skipped Damien but keep thinking “but what if he does the Super Sons version of Jon?!”
I think for Superman maybe he’s leaning back a little? Something about his torso just seems elongated but I also haven’t really liked the ab crunch on most of the McFarlane line.
Exactly. The other issue is shelf space. Do I really want to get crunched for space and put stuff away to display these figures? Or do I want to get them and just stow them away so I have room for other pre-orders? I keep managing to postpone it, but at some point the answer is gonna be, “you just need to stop”. Talk about first world problems
