Wonder Woman: Encyclopedia of Villains

This is an excellent idea!

It’d be especially great for highlighting the lesser-known, but still wicked-rad, adversaries our favorite heroes rumble with.

First Appearance: Wonder Woman 5 (1943)
Creators: William Marston and H.G Peter
Abilities: A skilled occultist, he historically used psionics to terrorize his victims, but has since become a powerful telepath with the capacity for mind control, astral projection, telekinesis, and levitation.

Backstory: Wonder Woman’s longtime enemy Edgar Cizko (also known as Cyril Psycho), is proof that villainy and vendettas come in all shapes and sizes. He began his devious criminal career as a man wrongfully imprisoned by a romantic rival. A bitter incident that, along with memories of childhood ridicule, awakened powers of hypnosis and illusion which he then used to torment and bend people, often women he resented, to his will. He came in league with the Duke of Deception using telepathy and his trademark spite to eliminate women from any peace missions, and to destroy Wonder Woman on Ares’s behalf.

Now with a command over the occult and the human mind, and a propensity for going undercover with aliases, he fixated his pathological contempt for women into fantasies of revenge against Wonder Woman. And at one point, combining his mind with that of Steve Trevor, created the villain Captain Wonder to battle Diana. Following the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths, Cizko re-emerged, still bearing his core disposition and attributes, but was now a psychologist obsessed with telepathy, leading some to call him “Dr. Psycho.”

Through his experiments, he gained a multitude of psionic powers, like mind control, telepathy, astral projection, telekinesis, and ectokinesis, a mystical energy that allows him to create and animate objects. As a result, he has worked with many a malevolent rogue along the way, including his brother Ironsides—even still creating villains when necessary, as was the case again when he warped the mind of Wonder Woman’s friend Vanessa Kapatelis to turn her into the Silver Swan; But no matter which era, as a true-blue sadist he always continues to use his powers to joyfully terrorize and manipulate others, often still women, to further his research into the human mind.

First Appearance: Sensation Comics 106 (1951)
Creators: Robert Kanigher and H.G. Peter
Abilities: Can control his automaton knights with his mind, robotics engineering, wearing a suit of indestructible armor*

Backstory: The distant direct descendant of a renowned baron from medevil times, Baron De Boar was a mild mannered scientist who spent his whole life pining for the wealth, recognition, and power which his family once possessed ages prior.

Thus toiling away in plot and preparation for decades, Baron De Boar began a villainous plot with the intention of taking back what he believed to be his by birthright!

A secret lost to the ages by all but the De Boar family line was that the secret of the original De Boars success was that he had secretly invented indestructible armor from a mysterious unknown metal whose secrets were not divulged with anyone and were lost to time.

Thus robbing a museum containing some of his ancestors armors, The scientist now dubbing himself ‘Baron De Boar’ outfitted the interior of the armors with robotics and donning one of the suits himself, he stuck the traditional pigs head of his family onto his head with a neural transmitter installed, allowing him to control his mechanical knights with but a thought.

Baron De Boar would then proceed to direct his automic knights of terror to raid other caches of his ancient ancestors indestructible armor so he could create a small army of invincible knights. With his first goal being to raid the estate which had been his family home for centuries and wrest control of it from the tourism firm. Claiming the castle of Baron De Boar for himself!


First Appearance: Sensation Comics 4 (1942)
Creators: William Marston and H.G Peter
Abilities: Brilliant strategist and scientist with Amazon training, who in later iterations would become a decorated A.R.G.U.S. Agent and a descendant of Valkyries.

Backstory: The Baroness Paula von Gunther has the distinction of becoming Wonder Woman’s first recurring enemy, and although she is often a merciless saboteur, she is ultimately a reasonable individual, having fallen victim to artifice and blackmail.

In her earliest appearances she was a cold-blooded Nazi spy and agent of the Gestapo, but would eventually reform into Wonder Woman’s ally, even gaining Amazon training, throughout the Gold, Silver and Bronze Ages. Post-Crisis, The Baroness was reimagined as a ruthless devotee of the occult who used her mystical knowledge in service of the Third Reich, and as a result, would become a vessel for the malicious supernatural entity Dark Angel. True to form, she eventually renounces her loyalty to the Nazi’s, and relocates to Themyscira where she became a prominent scientist, credited as one of the inventors of the Purple Healing Ray.

After Rebirth Paula von Gunther’s origin was altered. As a young girl she was rescued by Wonder Woman, and after being adopted by a new family, and now using the name Helen Paul, Wonder Woman remained present in her life. As an adult, Helen joined ARGUS, and learned from the supervillain Leviathan that her birth parents were Sons of Liberty faction leaders, and that her oldest ancestor is Gudra, a valkyrie with a grudge against the Amazons. Helen, believing Wonder Woman had purposefully lied to her, returned to her true name of Paula von Gunther and adopted the codename Warmaster. As Warmaster she has recently assembled all four horsewomen—legendary heralds who will bring about the destruction of the Amazons.

First Appearance: DC Comics Presents 76 (1984)
Creators: Dan Mishkin, Gary Cohn, Eduardo Barreto
Abilities: Form of clay, immortality, strength and power rivaling that of Wonder Woman, brilliant scientist, can give life to clay, power to control all clay and that born from clay, created and controls an army of clay monsters.

Backstory: Sole survivor of a devestating ship wreck which claimed the lives of everyone save for Christina Cade herself. She would wash ashore on Paradise Island and soon be adopted to live among them. Learning their ways, Christina would develop a love for the Amazonian sciences and push the limits of understanding for the joy of knowing…And beyond!

When Christina Cade made a startling breakthrough, she discovered the scientific process of giving life to clay. Visited by Aphrodite, Christina Cade was forbidden to further this line of research for there was some things woman was not meant to know.

Refusing to desist, Christina would leave Paradise Island and arrive in mans world with a head full of knowledge which she used to change the world. Firmly establishing herself as the foremost mind in bio technology before the field of bio technology even existed, Christina Cade gained vast wealth and influence. All of which went towards her ambitions of creating immortal clay constructs and stabalizing her own condition.

For Christinas experiments into giving life to clay allowed her to control them, create virtually anything the mind could concieve, and even outfit them with cybernetics to make them unstoppable killing machines.

However Christina Cades understanding of the process of giving life and basic sculpting technique were flawed, causing all of her creations to live short lives of terrible indescribable agony and suffering until the sweet and merciful embrace of death ended their painful lives.

Thus seeking out other brilliant scientists to perfect her technique, Christina Cade used her formula on herself, granting herself physical abilities comparable to Wonder Woman and sent terrible armies of clay constructs to hunt down the most brilliant of scientific minds to perfect her research.

So great was Christina Cades power that she could control anything that had been clay given life. Even Wonder Woman herself.

First Appearance: Wonder Woman 62 (1953)
Creators: Robert Kanigher and H.G Peter
Abilities: Criminal mastermind with a vast criminal network at his disposal. Master thief. Possess ‘the Angler’ which allows him to bend time and space to his will.

Backstory: Wonder Womans most frequent of nemesis in the silver age and seemingly favorite Wonder villain of Robert Kanigher.

Angle man was a criminal kingpin who held sway over a vast sum of the criminal underworlds organized crime and was well known for being ‘the man who knew every angle’ A criminal mastermind infamous for creating master plans for his crimes and looking at every possible variable and creating contingency plans for any eventuality.

When Wonder Woman began involving herself in stopping bank robberies and foiling criminal endeavors which his lackeys committed as he ordered, Angleman began by first formulating work arounds to try and continue operating despite Wonder Womans efforts.

Things such as always using a middle man not directly tied to his organization to hand out orders so the magic lasso could not be used to discover him or his plans.
Coordinating three or more robberies at the same time so that Wonder Woman would be unable to stop all of them, ensuring there was a profit to be made.
Outfitting gangsters working for him with thematic weapons in order to give them a chance against Wonder Woman.

However even with these efforts, Wonder Woman was still dealing terrible blows to Angle Mans criminal fortunes and taking down hundreds of his criminal henchmen. Thus he began plotting various ways of defeating Wonder Woman once and for all.

He tried uncovering her secret identity. Taking advantage of her weaknesses. Attempted to claim/destroy/disable her resources such as the magic lasso and the invisible plane. Hired superpowered criminals both to try ending Wonder Womans life, and tarnishing her reputation with mesmerism. He has commisioned robot Wonder Women. Paid for deadly weapons and experimental technologies all bent towards the singular purpose of ending Wonder Womans life. He even attempted to aid Steve Trevor in marrying Wonder Woman in the hopes that Diana would immediately choose to retire.

Every plan would fail time and time again and as the years passed, Angle Man went from young and babyfaced to greying and wrinkled in his efforts. Caught and arrested time and time again, seemingly going in and out of prison like it was a revolving door.

Things would finally come to an end when years of effort trying to take on Wonder Woman led to his criminal empire falling apart. All of his minions behind bars. His vast wealth evaporated. His reputation among criminals reduced to a joke.

At his lowest point, Angle Man would be gifted ‘The Angler’ an all powerful artifact which allows its wielder to bend time and space to ones will. Along with an invitation to join the Secret Society of Supervillains.

Taking the offer, Angle Man would go from suit wearing kingpin to costumed supervillain. Working for Funky Flashman (who I know nothing about so ill just assume hes a less talked about member of the Flash family) Angle Man would aid them in their villainy while on the side, attempting to get his revenge on Wonder Woman for destroying his criminal enterprise.

However even with the Angler being further empowered by Ares, allowing Angle man to travel the multiverse, time travel, create pocket dimensions, bend reality to his will, freely teleport himself and any items he wishes wherever he wanted… Angle Man utterly failed at every turn to defeat Wonder Woman. This iteration of Angle Man doomed to never succeed in his goals.

In the post crisis era, Angle Man would make a return as ‘Angelo Bend’ a suave debonair man of class and intrigue who operated purely as a thief for hire with no greater criminal ambitions than to make some money and steal a few hearts along the way. His version of the Angler being no less powerful than it had been previously, how he obtained it would remain a mystery.

I think I might start sharpening my WildStorm EOV axe before too long (and I’ll give credit where its due for the inspiration behind the thread)…

Kinda-sorta related (not really, but squint a bit and you’ll see the relation :nerd_face:) SN: About a year and change ago, I had thought of putting encyclopedias together like this for various DC toy lines in Collector’s Corner.

Once I realized that roughly only 5 people would likely have any steadfast interest in them, I abandoned the idea. “A” for ambition though, right?


First Appearance: Wonder Woman 20 (1946)
Creators: Joye Hummel and H.G Peter
Abilities: College education, aviation expert, professional pirate, possession of an invulnerable and unstoppable astral beast that can breath fire and freely carry people across time.

Backstory: Sky pirate! Time traveler! Holliday girl! Nifty was a woman who wore many hats and lived a life of action, adventure, and villainy.

Enrolled in Holliday College by day and a seemingly ordinary member of the Beeta Lamba sority who aid Wonder Woman in her adventures of daring and punching of injustice, Nifty lived a secret double life in a far more villainous role.

For in truth, Nifty led a band of sky pirates! Armed with silent glider planes which can self start on command and take off, fly, and land without ever making a sound to betray their pressence, her and her crew would raid laboratories and military facilities by dropping payloads of sleep gas on the target, pillaging whatever they wish, and then flying away with their ill gotten booty!

Cloistered away in their secret headquarters which was beneath an artificial mountain on a deserted ocean in the middle of the barren ocean which was managed by her husband who puttered around the place while his wife went off on cool adventures, Nifty seemingly couldn’t get any cooler.

And yet! She had in her possession an astral beast. A behemoth that would Stand behind her, invisible to all but those who could peer into the astral plane and the truth under the veil of the world.

This impossible monster obeyed Niftys unconscious will and had numerous abilities beyond simply materializing onto the material plane and being an entity that was entirely invulnerable to anything not of the astral plane.

This astral beast had astral might against which even Wonder Woman could not Stand. Abilities such as the power to breath fire and the means of traveling with others across time and space!

With all of these factors in Niftys favor, there was little that could stand in her way.




First Appearance: Wonder Woman Agent of Peace 1 (2020)
Creators: Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti, and Inaki Miranda
Abilities: Creating and throwing red bouncing balls which are actually interdimensional portals to a mysterious world of monsters which go from pocket to full size.

Backstory: Straight forward hitman for hire, Red Ball was a humble, small time supervillain with a curiously specific power which is entirely random. By throwing a red bouncing ball to summon a monster to aid him, he could get anything from a yellow electric rodent to a menacing red carp.

Recognizing that his abilities were not exactly reliable or consistent, Red Ball would toss one of his summoning balls and watch from a distance. Since he had no martial or physical abilities that would aid him against a target, he relied entirely on his curious power to do the work for him.

Quick to give up on his criminal schemes the moment things look dire, Red Ball had no concepts of ‘honor among killers’ or ‘client confidentiality’ and would be quick to surrender any information when he knew he was beaten.

First Appearance: Comic Cavalcade 7 (1944)
Creators: William Moulton Marston and H.G Peter
Abilities: Physicist, leads an army of mind controlled vulture henchmen which he controls. Has a backpack sized nuclear fission jetpack which allows him to fly faster than a plane on a pair of artifical wings, and mechanical talons strong enough to life an elephant.

Backstory: His true name lost to the world. The Vulture King was a man defined and judged by his appearance, receiving ridicule and disregard. Wishing to have his revenge on those who mistreated him, the Vulture King swore to have his revenge!

Becoming a scientific genius, Vulture King would invent a jet engine that operated on nuclear fission and did so without creating a sound. Further, he did so at a small enough size that someone could wear it. Then doing the logical thing, he fashioned a vulture costume with wings to control the flight of his creation, and mechanical talons that allows the wearer to lift incredible weights or crush whatever was caught…then mass producing it.

He would then begin kidnapping people and installing mind control devices into their brains. Commanding them by his voice. Creating an army of slaves who would aid him in his ultimate goal: glorious world domination! By kidnapping the heads of states, installing his mind control apparatus into their brains, he could rule the world.

First Appearance: (Dr. Barbara Ann Minerva) Wonder Woman 7 (1987)
Creators: George Perez and Len Wein
Abilities: In addition to her archaeological expertise, claws, fangs, and bloodlust, she is a skilled fighter possessing superhuman strength, speed, and durability— with the intellect to match, making her a uniquely fierce adversary.

Backstory: Three women have held the title of the Cheetah: first, Priscilla Rich, then, Deborah Domaine, both of whom served as enemies of Wonder Woman in the Gold, Silver and Bronze Ages. Then came British Archaeologist Barbara Ann Minerva, an alternating enemy and ally to Diana, forever in search of balance between her human and animal natures.

Dr. Minerva always had a determined reputation for going to any lengths to retrieve historical artifacts—no matter the dangers. Unsurprisingly, this eventually resulted in tragedy. After growing increasingly obsessed with mythology and divinity, Dr. Minerva took her team deep into the wilderness of Africa, only to become trapped and forced to take part in an arcane, ancient ritual that cursed and transformed her into a human-cheetah hybrid with a primal lust for blood.

From Cheetah’s inception, the character has represented conflicting dual personas, but upon reintroduction of the character in the 1980’s, this conflict was given even greater nuance. Barbara Minerva would become less a classic mettlesome villain and more the victim of her own ambition and flawed attempts to break free from the confines of a curse and cure her agonizing physical condition. Still an archaeologist at heart, she is tempted by ancient artifacts like the Lasso of Truth, or the Godkiller sword; But her relationship with her patron Urzkartaga is often strained, and Barbara is punished by the god in cruel or usual ways that only deepened her hostility towards herself and others. As added turmoil, Barbara is unable to come to terms with her romantic relationships with women, (like Etta Candy at one point) which makes her self-loathing and descent even more tragic.

Once a friend of Wonder Woman’s, Barbara Ann blamed her transformation and torment on Diana’s inability to save her, and harbored an impassioned grudge against the superhero that drove her to madness. In spite of this, Diana, like the true warrior for love she is, never yields in trying to help her friend Barbara find peace.

First Appearance: Wonder Woman 8 (1944)
Creators: William Marston and H.G Peter
Abilities: Superhuman strength rivaling that of Wonder Woman. Armies of superpowered followers who obey her will. Master of a plethora of different weapons.

Backstory: Thousands of years in the past the mighty continent of Atlantis sat in the ocean smack dab between South America and Africa. However a terrible disaster caused the continent to sink beneath the waves which in the process led to the entire landmass being sealed in a bubble of cooled Magma, creating an underground kingdom of Atlantean descendants who survived without learning how to be fish.

In the modern day, the people of Atlantis continue to flourish with their land sealed off from the outside world save for the false volcano which poked out of the ocean, serving as the sole air funnel for the underground continent which allows them to live.

Upon this continent there were numerous nations since Atlantis was a continent and not a single country. The largest of which being the vile land of Venturia ruled by the tyrannical Queen Clea who desired to become the ruler of all of Atlantis, then the world!

Queen Clea like all women of the Atlantean nations was built taller than average, and possessed incredible strength rivaling that of the Amazons of Paradise Island, though not necessarily the skill to match. This in sharp contrast to the men of their nation which over millenia evolved to be two feet tall shrimpy fellows who struggle to do the most basic of physical labor.

Queen Clea was a viscious ruler who delighted in the suffering of others. Reveling as people fought to the death. Dining to the sight of people being murdered. Where the Amazons celebrated love and peace, Queen Clea championed war and cruelty. Forging a nation where such conciets were a second nature to its people who learned to share Cleas pleasure in torture and would follow the evil queen of the ‘Undersea Amazons’

With an entire nation of likeminded individuals with super strength, and a talent for drawing in villains such as Giganta and Cyborgirl to serve her villainous cause, Queen Clea was a dangerous leader of evil and a force to be reckoned with.

Hey @Jurisdiction! The goal was to get caught up on existing profiles first, but :sweat_smile: that’s obviously not going very quickly, since I’m on triple duty w/ writing, graphics and whatnot. But, yes. S​:eyes:N!


First Appearance: Sensation Comics 55 (1946)
Creators: Joye Hummel and H.G. Peter
Abilities: Brilliant scientific mind, flight, The respect and deference of his Bughuman people.

Backstory: Foremost scientific mind amongst the population of the Bughumans. Professor Buggo was well regarded by his entire species who would not hesitate to follow his commands for there was little doubt that Professor Buggos sole motivation was to build a better tommorow for Bughuman kind!

The Bughumans themselves were a parasitic multi-cellular microsorganism which had evolved characteristics which are a most unusual blending of human and insect. Viewing all other life as lesser and to either be subjugated or consumed, they were a dangerous force and stymied only by the simple fact that their smaller size limited what they were capable of.

Enter Gerta Von Gunther! The daughter of Baroness Paula Von Gunther, Gerta having been rescued from the nazis holding her hostage as a toddler, had lived amongst the Amazons mastering Amazonian super strength, and grew up in America with her mother who became a professor at Holliday College.

Gerta reaching young adulthood, came down with that most troubling of maladies for the genius prone ‘FOR SCIENCE!’ syndrome in which one does things not for good or for evil, but purely for the sake of scientific inquiry. A desire to learn regardless of the consequences which may follow.

Upon discovering the Bughumans, Gerta invented a size changing device to enlarge them to human size so she could enlarge a specimen, study it, then return it to normal size. Recording her results and repeating this process on multiple specimens.

The Bughumans were in a panic as this was occuring, but Professor Buggo studying this process came to a conclusion that this could work in their favor and allow their microscopic civilization to prosper to impossible heights!

Thus deducing the process by which Gerta selected test subjects, Professor Buggo organized a plan for the ones enlarged to overpower Gerta and enlarge several more. Then take the device used to enlarge them into the skies, enlarging their entire civilization to exist within Earths skies!

The Bughumans would succeed in their efforts and with Professor Buggo leading them, they would see the Earth as their feeding ground. Safe in the knowledge that there were no predators which could impede their efforts. Confident that any species other than their own was easy pickings for the giant microorganisms and their fully established civilization.

Professor Buggo would lead his people to greatness!



First Appearance: Wonder Woman 263 (1979)
Creators: Gerry Conway and Jose Delbo
Abilities: Trick Bolas each with a different menacing ability from deafening sound to smoke, to explosions, a flying robot horse faster than a jet, an electric lariat, pistol sized missile launcher, and an army of trained attack Rhea.

Backstory: The terror of the Pampas. El Gaucho is the greatest assassin of South America. A menace who has foiled not simply law enforcement, but the armies of nations.

Armed with an array of specialized gadgets which fit to his gaucho theme, El Gaucho is one of the operatives for ‘the Cartel’ An international assassination operation which for the right price will ensure the death of anyone for their employer. Boasting among their number the most skilled hit men of every continent.

El Gaucho in particular was a skilled and talented assassin. Unlike his fellow assassins who might operate with stealth and cunning in order to take care of their target, El Gaucho is loud and boisterous. Having no compunction with riding through the skies, carving his way through any defenses his targets may have and making a show of his efforts. Leaving corpses in his wake.

First Appearance: (Vanessa Kapatelis) Wonder Woman 3 (1987). As Silver Swan: Wonder Woman 171 (2001)
Creators: George Perez and Len Wein/Phil Jimenez
Abilities: A part cybernetic entity with the power of technokinesis, flight, super speed, a sonic cry and metal claws.

Backstory: There have been three Silver Swans since the character’s debut, all believing themselves to be undesirable or unwanted in some way. First, Helen Alexandros, then Valerie Beaudry, but since 2001 the title has belonged to Vanessa Kapatelis.

First apprearing as the daughter of Julia Kapatelis, a friend and ally of Wonder Woman’s, Vanessa (aka Nessie) was later expanded as a once ordinary American teenager with a promising future as a ballet dancer and singer. She came to love Diana as a sister and dreamed of fighting evil alongside her; But traumatized by both her father’s death, and that of her best friend Lucy, she ultimately fell prey to self doubt and several of Wonder Woman’s longtime villains.

Her school counselor, an undercover Dr. Psycho, convinced Julia that Diana was the cause of her daughters distress, so Julia sent Diana away. Now, in addition to her grief, she felt abandoned by her friend that she considered like family. Her mixed emotions were a perfect target for Circe, who wanted to use Vanessa to defeat Diana. Using physical implants and warping her mind, Circe and Dr. Psycho turned Vanessa into the terrorist criminal, Silver Swan. Before Diana could attempt to resolve the situation, however, the Imperiex attack and Circe attempts to takeover of New York City. After defeating Circe, Wonder Woman tried to help Vanessa recover, but she is kidnapped by Sebastian Ballestros. He then sold her to fellow Wonder Woman villain, Veronica Cale, who ravaged Vanessa’s body further, making her even more of a cybernetic killing machine.

More recently Vanessa’s origin was altered, now having been rescued by Diana as child, and becoming paralyzed- she and Diana still becoming close friends, and dreaming of fighting by Wonder Woman’s side. Vanessa chooses to take part in a procedure using nanites that would allow her to walk again, but eventually, Diana visited less and less, causing Vanessa to grow more and more despondent. After her mother Julia died, thinking she had no one left ultimately drives Vanessa to madness, the nanites in her blood creating a cybernetic costume, now calling herself the Silver Swan.

First Appearance: Sensation Comics 41 (1945)
Creators: Joye Hummel and H.G Peter
Abilities: Gardening, Evil Gardening, as well as a professional Creeper, real estate developer, and businessman.

Backstory: Formerly a big name real estate owner, Old Man Creeper Jackson the Crippled Gardener had the tragedy of getting ran over in the middle of the night by his employee Lars Lang who then proceeded to take over the real estate company and push Old Man Creeper Jackson the Crippled Gardener out of the business while he was recovering in the hospital, renaming it and having all of the company funds transferred to his own accounts.

Vowing revenge, Old Man Creeper Jackson turned his passion for gardening to evil developing a unique specimen known as the ‘Octopus Plant’ with horrifying properties. For it would take the form of a giant pitcher plant and seeking out live prey with its vines, it would latch on to them and draw them into the plant, consuming them whole.

The plant upon killing its victim would then produce flower seeds which when grown, would produce a beautiful flower called the ‘Venus Rose’ with the face of the woman who had been murdered.

Abilities: Personification of greed, wielding vast ever-growing wealth, he can become an invisible and intangible voice that whispers and tempts his targets to give in their greed and self-importance.

Backstory: At once the most seemingly harmless yet most pervasive of Ares boys, the Earl of Greed is the anthropomorphic personification of both ego and greed itself. The desire to take as much as one can dream, hoard it just for the sake of having it
(better to see that wealth destroyed than for it to go to benefit others), and desire not just simply to be wealthy, but to be wealthier than others.

The Earl is part of a trio that during that often serves the interests of the God of War, Ares. Whereas one of his counterparts, the Lord of Conquest, was an open show of force that sought to dominate others and force ones will upon them in a direct manner, and the Duke of Deception perfers misdirection and falsehoods incarnate, The Earl was far more subtle and insidious. Seemingly everywhere, he was that little voice whispering into the ears of the wealthy to take more than they needed. The one urging against giving to others and to keep more and more still for yourself.

The Earl of Greed is capitalism made manifest. A being who grows in power and influence in a world where there is a price on human life and the all mighty dollar has more value than any human right or consideration—often making him a valuable tool for The God of War, when every CEO, bank robber, dictator, and fascist motivated only by their own prosperity and the desire to have more than anyone else is the unknowing puppet of destruction.

For so long as vanity and entitlement exist in the world, the Earl of Greed will likewise exist. Invisible and whispering temptations into the ears of those who are receptive to his influence.
