All covers for ‘Wonder Girl’ #1 through #3 now revealed—including TEAM variant by Rafael Grampá!

From her breakout appearances in Future State: Wonder Woman and Infinite Frontier #0 , a young Yara Flor begins the search for her destiny and connection to the Amazons! In Wonder Girl #1 on May 18, acclaimed writer/artist Joëlle Jones makes a triumphant return to the character of Yara Flor!

“The story picks up with a brief vignette of Yara saying goodbye to her aunt at the Boise airport,” says Jones, “and then it’s straight on to Brazil! This trip opens up a huge world to her full of exciting characters. It’s incredibly exciting for her, but full of challenges both fun and dangerous.”

Little does she know her arrival will set off a series of events that will change the world of Wonder Woman forever. Her return has been prophesied, and with that prophecy comes the undivided attention of benevolent gods from pantheons beyond.

Really enjoyed Yara in Future State, looking forward to reading more of her in her own ongoing.

You bet I’m going to “yoink!” (as Yara herself would say) this series. It’s absolutely one of my most-anticipated Infinite Frontier reads (very likely my #1 most-anticipated new title of the launch), and then some.

The variants look pretty slick too, with these being of the most interest to me:

As much as I am looking forward to this series, I would like to see something done with the other two (I guess they’re now former) Wonder Girls, Cassie Sandsmark and Donna Troy. I’m up for new characters, but give some of the classics some love, too!

I must say I don’t normally read the monthlies. But I HAD to subscribe when it was announced and the first issue did not disappoint! Yara is fabulous and I love she’s drawn from a mythology I know so little about. Can’t wait to see where she goes.
