I am a little sad to see that the Backlist Breakout winners are the only archive issues this month. Also, will Fables 160 really be out on the 31st? I don’t think the print issue has come out yet.

I’m really sad to see fewer and fewer back issue releases. A few years back there were 10 to 20 digital releases a week for back issues. The number has been decreasing consistently. Now we’re down to only three a week?

There are close to 11,000 DC back issues that haven’t been digitized yet and that’s not including the thousand or so of back issues that are incomplete/missing color where only the lead story is included. At that rate, it will take close to another 80 years to digitize all the DC books. :disappointed:

Count me among those who are disappointed in only having 3 new backlist issues a week. Though I’m glad to see that as of last week, Adventure Comics went back to reprinting both stories, and not just the Superboy lead.

I too am sad that they scaled back the archives for next month. But it will give me a chance to read the multitude of issues that there are in the service that I haven’t gotten to.

Must add my disappointment in the reduction of back issues. I don’t want to seem ungrateful for the archiving that we are getting, but I was particularly enjoying the SHAZAMs and FLASHes, and, so it’s a tad frustrating to have a pause, especially when we were getting to the FLASH issues that would be my gateway comics.

Hope we get back to those, soon.

My FLASH gateway was FLASH 268 with that great cover, followed soon after by the classic “Death of Iris” storyline. Eager to have the rest of the issues from the late 70s-early 80s filled in.

My gateway issue of flash was released just a couple of weeks ago, Flash 221. My next one wasn’t until 240 when I started buying every issue.

I feel a little guilty. I tended to stay away from the main characters when I started comics. So my Flash gateway was #340 the start of the Trial. And it ended eleven issues later with 350. Mine have been on the site for a while.

Hey, I’m trying to find info on what John Timms is gonna be doing next after Batman Inc?

John Timms is definitely one of my favorite artists. He has a sleek, dynamic style that makes the action feel fast and the characters look cool. I haven’t seen anyone do Ghostmaker and Phantom One better, tbh. They both looked awesome with his art.

Apologies, friend! After checking our sources, it looks like the date for this release on DCUI has been pushed to 10/17. I’ll make that change to reflect as much.
