Next issue just got delayed two more weeks. It is scheduled to come out in 3, meaning it would be here on mid April.

Really missing those archive issues, they are the reason I am here and there are a ton of holes in many classic series along with missing tie-ins to crossover stories.

I agree. I’m sure that everyone’s doing the best they can, and no employee is acting with malice toward the idea of the older issues, but some kind of timeline — even if it were a timeline of a timeline, as in “We will be able to plan for archives again in June and by July we will know what kind of future schedule we will be able to maintain for them” — would go a long way, I think, in alleviating some of our frustration.

Personally, and do not let me give DC terrible ideas, I’d pay double for this bargain service if it meant an accelerated (and guaranteed schedule) of older issues being digitized and making their way here.

If I had to guess, there were layoffs in the department and there are quite literally no employees left to work on archive issues and they have no plans of hiring someone for that any time in the near future. If there was even a single employee left in that area they would be able to manage to put out a least a single book so far in 2024.

Financially there is probably no justification for hiring someone in that area. The annual salary and cost of doing it would just be a cost with no uptick in revenue. Everyone can say they’ll drop the service without archive issues, but the truth is, no one, or a very insignificant percentage will actually do so because they want to keep reading the new issues.

It’s truly sad because archives are the best part of this service.

I agree, I even notice that this ‘:old_key:’ was gone from coming soon Legend list, I just hope this is not the end of archives. :confused:

Maybe I’ll try and get a pro-rated refund for the rest of my subscription. Yes, reading new issues is nice but without new archives issues I can do without the service. :pleading_face:
