I love TT (not GO) but I feel they really dropped the ball. Imho, I think that cartoon should’ve been just like B TAS or S TAS or JL, JLU. Or to be precise. The exact way they appear in The Judas Contract & Vs the JL animated movies. An adult Starfire especially would’ve been great. But, all of them would’ve been perfect. They kinda (well they 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲) did a kids oriented version of both series. TT & TT GO!!! The material in TT is great enough that I liked it. But, I’m waiting for an adult themed TT series myself…

Absolutely it is. I like a ton of these actually. Kind of sucks that JLQ & Zatanna had to be vs each other. A combo would’ve been cool. But, Zatanna would just have to kind of hangout. Although, she could just tag along with Constantine???

Where was it mentioned? I’ve read her Season One mini and I don’t remember her being LGBT was mentioned in that series.

There was a push for more diverse representation behind the page for some time.
Tamaki and Tynion both represent progress in that direction.
Steve Orlando and several other writers and artists have made more visible contributions to DC over the more recent years.
There have always been diverse voices in comics and everywhere. The recognition is what is new.

Kinda hard to hide a preference for GL if your UN and icon are GL. We are definitely all happy for whichever story wins, but we’ll always have those characters that made us real fans!

Well, I disagree with that analysis myself, but I know that many people see it that way. I personally think she had several motivations during Tynion’s Detective Comics run, including wanting to save people, wanting to find her own path, and improving her skills.
