Scalped. On here? Mmm…I’d consider The Question to be very criminal.

Kill or Be Killed is a fascinating read!

Scalped is one of the best comics of the 21st century, IMHO.

Probably–with a few exceptions–the last 15 years of Daredevil.

Sin City

Gotta go with Gotham Central. Brubaker as primary scribe brought plenty of real world pathos into Gotham City. And the tone of the art was entirely parallel.

Criminal’s good. I’m reading Brubaker’s Scene of the Crime right now, and it’s amazing.

It was fantastic, but then anything Brubaker does is great. If you like Brubaker he’s doing a digital comic at Panel Syndicate with Marcos Martin called Friday. The first issue was just released and its really good.

I read that. That was awesome. The only problem is that it’s Panel Syndicate, which means the next issue probably won’t be out for a good long while.

I also want to add Richard Stark’s Parker.

Oh man, those books are absolutely incredible. Great stories, great character building, and (expected from Darwyn Cooke) drop-dead gorgeous artwork.

Anything by Brubaker and Phillips. I also like Southern Bastards.

It’s probably be the best book to comic adaptation ever made.

Easily. They feel like their own thing. If no one told you they were based on the Parker novels, and you just read them, you wouldn’t realize they were adaptations.
