I know Identity Crisis is widely disliked (for very fair reasons), but this panel of Ralph holding Sue’s corpse will forever be one of the most tragic pieces of art I’ve ever seen while reading a comic. I think about it in detail at least once a year.

she wasn’t any of the kids Mom. she was Jim Gordon’s wife and a cop that Joker killed while she was trying to save the children.
