I don’t see it. Kate Kane is a statuesque red head with an athletic build. Rudy Rose is too short and slender. Now, and I may be going off topic here, but Fox messed up “Gotham” royally. Introducing characters that should never have existed before Bruce was an adult. I was also not a big fan of how “Supergirl” was done, if came across too much like a teen show. So I hope the CW at least tries to do “Batwoman” right.
@Mae The new material from the previous Batman Giant series is what’s reprinted in Batman: Universe.
The current Batwoman story just started in the new Batman Giant series, so it likely won’t hit digital for several months, if not longer.
Y’know, I’m curious if series like Superman: Up in the Sky, Batman: Universe, Wonder Woman: Come Back to Me and Titans: Burning Rage will come to DCU in a year’s time. There’s no reason they couldn’t, but I just get a feeling they could be an exception for some reason.
Anyway, I haven’t read the Batwoman story in the new Batman Giant, but from what I’ve flipped through, it looks pretty good.
Two more tiny teases:

I got to be honest, these tiny teases are not doing it for me. I liked the original trailer, it got my interest. But these tiny teases have been cringe inducing to me. I am still excited for the show, but not sure how many people these are going to win over.
Aren’t teaser like these mostly just promotional things CW plays on their channel? They aren’t supposed to win people over, just get people who watch the CW to know kinda what the show or its characters are about.
I adore this version of Batwoman already.
Batwoman looks like another CW superhero show that will be too politically driven to be enjoyable. Cough Supergirl Cough Cough
Which it might not but I would bet money on it being super politically driven.
Which taking the supergirl route on this one is surprising to me. Doesn’t Supergirl have lowest ratings and viewer count? Mostly because of the aggressive political narrative.
Well I have hopes that batwoman can still be good if it does have political narritives but I wouldn’t be surprised if its not.
Supergirl is a great show, sorry if you’re not enjoying it. If Batwoman is a darker version of Supergirl, I’ll be ecstatic! To me, politics and social issues are important to explore in these shows, and comics have always championed the marginalized, disadvantaged, othered.
Legends of Tomorrow has the worst view count and reception, not Supergirl.
And, as it goes, Supergirl season 4 was the best season of any of the shows because it was politically charged. Sorry you don’t like it because you don’t agree with the views (I don’t really see someone disliking it otherwise, honestly).
While I still think the new Batwoman show does look to have some problems, I’m still looking forward to it, and it should definitely take after Supergirl, especially season 4.
Ever-badass Ruby won’t stop something like a super-serious emergency surgery from doing what she loves:
Only six days left!
Actually only the Flash had better ratings of the Arrowverse shows.
Oh and this cool little behind the scenes thing:

Is it time to watch yet?
Show looks like crap
The show has been amazing and nothing short of a literal dream come true!
Super happy for you @Mae! I remember the feeling I got when Green Lantern was revealed to be getting a live action film. Obviously my story ended far more tragically. I’ve been enjoying the Batwoman show too!
Some of my online friends think Ruby Rose should’ve cast as Captain Marvel. After seeing her as batwoman, I’m inclined to agree.
I just couldn’t agree more, Mae! It’s been so much fun.
The show keeps getting better and better! I hope it goes on for many seasons. If I had one minor quibble, and I’ve said this in the past, her costume, while amazing, does need some more crimson, in my opinion.
