Obscurity of DC Presents: Obscure Book Club, Week 97 (February 11-February 17) --- CORNELIUS STIRK!

Why hello there, @ObscurityofDCClub and other members of the DC Community! Welcome to Week 97 of Obscurity of DC’s Obscure Book Club! This week will be a mini, and we’ll be focusing on…

Number of Issues: 2

Description from comicvine.gamespot.com: A delusional serial killer that feeds on people’s hearts to survive and has the psychic ability to make people see him as someone else.

Now that that’s over with, here are some discussion questions:

  1. Why do you think Cornelius Stirk uses such famous people as disguises? Why not use a random civilian’s face?
  2. Although he’s a cold-blooded murderer, Cornelius Stirk always seems to use manners, especially when addressing his victims. Most notably, he calls his victims “sir.” What does this show about his character? How does this affect your views on him?
  3. Despite the glaring differences, many similarities are shown between Cornelius Stirk and Batman, the most prominent being their use of fear. How does Cornelius Stirk’s use of fear differ from Batman’s use of fear?
