I picked up Death of Superman, The Last God and Dceased. Slim pickings for me but I am really interested in what all 3 of these issues have to offer. So it is a very good week for me in spite of that.
@Vroom
Glad you’re back. Wednesday isn’t right without your post!
Are you going to use the #wednesday-fun-time tag for the new comics post each week? Cause if you are, I’m going to set up an alert so that I can always be notified when you post this topic.
The Batman Annuals have been consistently the strongest parts of Tom King’s run, and Batman Annual #4 lives up to the strong precedent he’s set. This is an essential standalone story about the versatility, durability, and pure persistence of Batman… every. Single. Day.
BATMAN AND THE OUTSIDERS ANNUAL 1:
This was not only the strongest issue of Bryan Hill and Dexter Soy’s series thus far—it’s also the best Katana story since Mike W Barr introduced her to us in the first BATO run. Also, I’m sorry to say that I’m now shipping Tatsu and Jefferson Pierce VERY hard.
I haven’t read Annual #1 yet, but given how much I’ve loved the current volume of Batman and the Outsiders, and with that high level of praise behind it, I’m even more excited to dive into it now, as BATO is absolutely my favorite current Batbook.
