Over on the DC Headcanons thread, some people have speculated that Jason Todd is like, a classic literature nerd, and it became part of the it-all-matters alternate Universe of Webtoon via Batman: Wayne Family Adventures, when Damian discovered Jason’s deepest, darkest secret - a copy of Pride & Prejudice hidden under Jace’s bed. This song has always felt like a Jane Austen song to me, and on some level, I think Jason himself could relate to having expectations that he meets but only in a rock-star kind of way.
