I feel honored to have met this artistic giant last year. His style focused on the main characteristics of each character that they were immediately identifiable. His use of negative space influenced my own style. I was nervous but glad I was able to share my homage to the Long Halloween drawn using only tiny pumpkins. Rest In Peace.

So sad to hear this. His art was amazing. And Long Halloween was the first comic I really read. Didn’t know much of him outside his art but from what I can guess he sounded like a nice guy.
