I think seeing Jason Todd beating the crap out of those cops and saying the mask gives him a right to do what ever he wants is a good set up into him being the redhood. I wonder if they will be putting that into the show, we already have a few mentions of the joker, but I see that story being more of a batman story then titans.

This is definitely a Jason Todd that I can see go after his Mom and get bludgeoned to death by the Joker with a crowbar.
He acts like a Jason Todd (second take, the revamped version) should act.

Curran and the Titans team gave us the best first live action Jason we could have ever hoped her. I was sold from the minute I heard “sup bro I’m the new Robin”. Unfortunately the cop pummeling scene didn’t hit as hard as it should have since we’ve already seen a hyper brutal Robin on the show

I loved Todd. I also agree with including more Titans characters. As @dcgoddessofmayhem said, they’re probably introducing characters slowly so those who might not be familiar with them get a chance to discover their origins.
