Oxymoron. Also, the “source” is a Redditor, so…let’s wait for someone reliable.
Abrams is a really solid director – say what you will about his films in Star Wars and Trek, but you can’t say they aren’t gorgeous to look at.
Writing on the other hand…that’s kind of iffy, especially when one remembers the frankly horrific rendition he tried back in the 00s with Superman Flyby.
So as long as he has nothing to do with the writing, I’d be okay with it.
