Golden Age artists really run the gamut sometimes. Looks like this story was Paul Cassidy. I don’t think I saved any images from it, but there was a Jack Burnley-drawn one that had some really modern-looking use of perspective and framing I liked as well.
Honestly, while he deserves all the criticism he gets and his style isn’t usually that inspiring, even Bob Kane does some really cool stuff with lighting on Batman that you don’t see from most contemporary artists.

Earlier comic art (and the writing, too) is often fascinating because it was so experimental, and so many of the tropes and patterns that are so well established and taken for granted now hadn’t come about.

In Civilization IV I notice my captured Japanese cities are very remote and hard to get to.
My workers when I tell them to fix this by building railroads in Siberia for eternity (or until we win that domination victory or something).
