Daredevil - all the Frank Miller stuff.
Dave Stevens Rocketeer.

Scalped was Vertigo, wasn’t it? I mean, it was amazing, but technically DC.

Hi Batwing52
Just got to this thread again. I love Ennis Punisher work. Miller and others for DD. I am currently reading both series. The Punisher prison arc was really good. And DD’s recuperation is making for interesting storylines. I was not a fan of the Death of Daredevil run, I dropped it from my pull list but this new storyline pulled me back in.

Definitely Jeff Lemire’s Black Hammer. It starts out as a spoof/parody of mainstream superheroes but the story turns out to be an extremely dark, gritty and character-driven piece about life, love, acceptance, humanity, optimism and much more. The way the story is written makes it completely unpredictable for what happens next and that “on-the-edge-of-your-seat” feeling while reading it makes the experience a thousand times better. I recommend it to all comic book fans and especially those with mature tastes, as it does get pretty vulgar and violent.

That’s easy… Planetary! It’s a great series that explores different genres of Fiction and it has a definite (and satisfying) end.

I really enjoyed the Dark Horse Conan series as well as Dynamite’s Lone Ranger and Zorro Runs My all time favorite books were the NOW Comics Green Hornet Series and the first sixty or so issues of Marvel’s G.I. JOE
