Wow the whole idea of the cult of the unwritten book seems so fresh in the genre of superheroes. I love how Doom Patrol has a serious, yet at the same time a light hearted tone.
Also, is it just me or is anyone else indifferent about the way Cyborg’s suit looks? Like from certain angles it is sticking up past his body making it appear to be like armor more than a suit keeping him alive.
Anyone else notice the cake and unwritten book cult symbol was OMAC symbol ?
I will buy this on Blu-ray when it’s released.
DC had a great opportunity to fix the Willoughby Kipling error that comics made years ago. They missed an opportunity to have Matt Ryan’s John Constantine to replace his doppleganger in this story.
It’s not that I don’t like Kipling or Mark Sheppard bringing him to screen. I do. I really liked his performance. But, the character of Kipling was created because the creative teams of Doom Patrol and Hellblazer disagreed years ago. Kipling is literally a Constantine stand in.
A small criticism. I’m loving the show so far.
I do hope they can do both. The comic accurate thing was very well done and played but Matt Ryan Constantine is life as well.
