After an extended absence, Kurt Busiek’s Arrowsmith and Astro City have returned to digital sale, now being published by Image. Technically, the 1995 series and the first 15 (and a half) issues of the 1996 series of Astro City were originally published by Image, not DC, but I saw no reason to exclude them from the list on that technicality, especially since those issues were being published by DC in collections while the series was a DC title. Unfortunately, none of these books are currently available on hoopla. Hopefully that changes soon.

Just reading out to say thanks for all the work you’ve done! I run some social media accounts that focus on digital editions. Being with this service since the start, I continue to be frustrated over not adding comics that could be added.

Years ago, I bought both trades of Secret Society of SV, in digital. I don’t understand why they can’t be added. Let’s be honest: not many care about that run!

With all the various anniversary celebrations, the service could’ve released some of those comics as proactive marketing for the service.

It’s possible that these issues may only be on DCUI temporarily, so I may have to restore these issues to the list, but for now, at least, they can be read here.

In other news, Comixology.com is being taken down, with Comixology being integrated into Amazon.com:

I’m really hoping that all of the hundreds of Comixology links on my spreadsheets will redirect to the titles on Amazon, because otherwise… :nauseated_face:

Unfortunately, I am going to have to hold off on adding a book that was released this week to the list. Batman in the Fifties was not added to hoopla, has not yet been catalogued on comics.org, and doesn’t even have a “Look Inside” on Amazon. So, I currently don’t have access to the detailed contents of this book (this is apparently a different book from the one with the same title that was released back in 2002). If anyone has purchased this book and can screenshot the table of contents pages and send them to me, I’d appreciate it. Otherwise, I’ll just have to wait until it turns up somewhere (hopefully on hoopla tomorrow).

I got both volumes in HC sittin on the shelf, there are those who care and love seein those left field titles added. Now, havin found the RICHARD DRAGON HC at the library and being unable to finish it, I’m not to terribly bummed about it not available.heh.

I read Richard Dragon via Hoopla, but it was pretty rough, yea? The art felt unfinished and the stories half-baked (yet somehow they still managed to create Shiva and Bronze Tiger)

This week’s lone addition to DCUI for FanDome Friday is the first issue (and only the first issue) of Joker/Harley: Criminal Sanity. I’ve decided not to update the list to reflect this addition for two reasons: 1) since it’s a limited series that has been entirely released in just one book, removing just that one issue from the entry on the list will make things more confusing, I think, than just leaving it as is, and 2) I’m still unclear on whether or not these issues are here temporarily just for FanDome season or not. I don’t want to have to restore too many things to the lists if these issues end up getting taken away after FanDome ends. If the entire series arrives here at some point, I will of course remove it from the list then.
