There’s no other choice BUT Grayson. That’s just the way it is. He is the only one that could actually be The Batman. He’s the only one that has all the tools to be even remotely half as good as Bruce Wayne.

If we narrow it down to those who’ve actually expressed a desire to be Bruce’s successor, we’re already down to Cass and Damian, and between the two, Cass is the obvious choice, having a far superior understanding of what Bruce’s mission actually means and why it matters. Damian views the mantle as an entitlement; Cass understands that it’s a responsibility. Obviously she couldn’t be Bat"man", per se, but as the next Bat, she’s the best we could hope for.
She could probably stand to work with Tim or somebody to help alleviate the whole “can’t read” thing, though.
I suppose there’s also Azrael, but he’s really not stable enough even after he got his head sorted out.
