Likely McFarlane’s rendition of Superman in the Invasion mini from the 80’s. I believe he illustrated all three issues.

Must say, not familiar with McFarlane’s art, but I dig that image! I read somewhere that he is known for doing crazy stuff with capes, which is evident here. Will be interesting to see how that would translate into figure form.

I love the articulation! Butterfly shoulders, double jointed elbows (on the female characters too!) and knees, and toes! Last time I saw toe articulation was on the Toy Biz Marvel Legends (and some of the early Hasbro Legends).

I do hope the JLU JS will have some construct accessories.

A Spawn vs Batman set (with a reprint of the comic packed in) needs to come along at some point. It’s an obvious Year One item.

Thanks for the additional photog detective work @biff_pow! :metal:

Boys as excited as I am…I have to wake up in a few hours to get to work. Will keep you all posted if I find anything else out about these figures.

Thanks @biff_pow. I see Walmart has a few of 'em available for pre-order. When I search for “McFarlane DC” it only returns Superman, Harley, Arrow and BWL and a bunch of non DC related stuff.

Here is the official announcement/list:

Thanks @biff_pow. According to Toyark, there’s a variant of Batman with a more classic emblem.

In brightest day, John looks neat! I love that cannon construct. :gl_hv_5:

So far, GL is the best of the DCAU figures we’ve seen. Maybe McFarlane can fill in the spots DCC skipped over (a BTAS-style GCPD SWAT Officer would be cool).

I love the packaged shots of everything. I’m curious what the back of the boxes will look like.

Its cool we’re getting a vehicle at launch that’s scaled to the figures and comic based!

goes to squeal with giddyness in the corner

Okay, I’m good.

runs back to the corner, squeals again

It sure would be neat to get Wraith in wave 2 to go with our wave 1 Superman Unchained figure.

thinks of what could be in the works for Toy Fair reveals, faints, then wakes up

I’m good, I’m good.

thinks about Toy Fair and beyond, faints again, this time with a smile on his face

McFarlane website has the figures up (link below). If you click on the link for any given figure, it only lists Walmart under “Where To Buy”, with a link that takes you directly to the pre-order page for that figure on Walmart’s website. Grabbed Superman and Batman 1000 along with the 2 armored versions. Not sure if I’m limiting myself to those, but they are the ones I want the most.

The McFarlane toys look pretty cool, though the John Stewart figure in particular looks really weird to me. The Bats and Supes figures from 'Tec and Action 1000 look really great.
