Clayface was originally introduced in 1940, but at that time, he was just an actor wearing a clay mask. The second Clayface was introduced in the early 1960s (during the Bat-Mite era, appropriately enough).

Gotta love these themed vehicles

Itā€™s interesting to see that Clayface along with Mister Freeze are not tragic villains like Batman the animated series.:slightly_smiling_face:

Just to put this episode in context: it aired around the same time that the Englehart ā€œStrange Apparitionsā€ run started. (Thatā€™s the run that included the Joker Fish story, gave Deadshot his now-iconic new costume, and introduced Rupert Thorne.)

More context: Clayface III (the one who kills his victims with his corrosive touch) was introduced a year after this episode aired.

I really hope we get the first (and superior) Filmation series here soon, but this one is fun, too.

Weā€™ll begin the next episode at the start of the hour.
