30 would be more realistic than 50. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 had 25 playable characters, Injustice 2 has 25 or 30 characters plus about 8 dlc characters.

Only way to get 50 or even more characters would be a Lego game

Hm, I could see a Justice League game that gave you an array of classic members to play with:

  6. Green Lantern (Again, probably multiple skins so as not to suck up roster space with statistically roughly identical characters)
