@IssacBrown, a show called Bruce Wayne with your exact premise was in development around 1999/2000. Ultimately, it was put to the side for Smallville.

i’ve been saying dcu should make a story in the arkham universe, and make it in original. If done right the show would be HUGE since people love batman and want to see him in a batman show. It’d be adult like YJ season 3, and would be overall great
