I am not a fan of King’s Batman run and I have been vocal about it here so I just thought I would say I enjoyed this issue. Some was a little silly, which is consistent with Batman’s history, but overall I thought it was a good insight into Bruce’s character.
It’s nice to have issues like this from time to time that build up the characters instead of the all too regular deconstructions and “epic” stories.

Hear, hear (or “here, here,” I’ve never been sure). I actively detest King’s work on Batman, but even I’ll give credit where credit’s due. Annual #4 is a good one.

I really like King. I think he brings something new and intriguing to comic book writing. And And this issue was pretty spectacular.
