I’m not sure if they were a splinter group, but Nubia’s from another tribe of Amazons in the Golden Age. I’m glad they did bring back the story of Phthia and Ariadna. I was getting a little confused as they had contradicting elements and I hadn’t read the first version of the story since 2019, but I did like that we got to see more of Antiope’s faction.

Not even the cyborg Wonder Woman with a flashing/blinding tiara that was able to beat down a god? I didn’t really get a setup vibe from this, so much as just more ongoing. This is more of the middle of the story with the Cheetah stuff being the beginning/setup. Which, I was surprised about what was happening to Barbara. Chuma is gone, so who is going to restore her when even Hermes couldn’t.
I thought she was having a misread from “unity with the beasts”. Because even 'Lyte explained that the sacrifice in question was asking for it to be quick vs not at all.
