[World of Bats] Batman: The Dark Knight Vol 2 #1-7 "Knight Terrors"

Hello and welcome to another installment of the World of Bats, the Batman Book Club!

First off, to everyone who celebrates, Happy (early) Easter!

For this week…look, I’m going to be honest, there isn’t a LOT of Easter-related Batman material, so I had to improvise. So, while the kids tonight are going to be waiting for the Easter Bunny to come, we’ll be chasing the White Rabbit in Batman: The Dark Knight #1-7, co-plotted by Paul Jenkins and David Finch, with Jenkins doing the scripts and, of course, Finch doing the pencils.

You can find the links to these issues down here:

Batman: The Dark Knight #1
Batman: The Dark Knight #2
Batman: The Dark Knight #3
Batman: The Dark Knight #4
Batman: The Dark Knight #5
Batman: The Dark Knight #6
Batman: The Dark Knight #7

(Note: #8 looks like it should be listed here since it has White Rabbit on the cover, but after reading it’s not related at all.)

Ah, this story is hilarious. I don’t know if that was the intention, but it certainly is the result.

I think it’s a little both. Finch (with the help of Jenkins) wanted to tell a story about what motivates Batman, but when you get panels like Batman grimly holding an ice cream cone, they had to know how funny that would look, right?
