First Appearance: Wonder Woman tv series SE02 EP14
Portrayed by: Henry Gibson
Abilities: Obscene amounts of wealth. Countless minions willing to do anything for a paycheck. Uncanny ability to survive seemingly any sort of certain doom and lie low after being presumed dead, only to rise from the grave.

Backstory: Marion Mariposa was an eccentric multi billionaire who became convinced that he was the ruler of a fictional nation of his own creation called ‘Marapazalia’

Designing a flag, a national anthem, filling out history books of its centuries long history, detailing the rich culture of a country which only existed within his own mind, Mariposas obsession would have probably been either written off as a quirk or became cause for mental health treatment. That is, were it not for his obscene wealth and willingness to spend it in order to prove himself right.

Thus Marion would buy up properties across the world claiming them part of the domain of Marapazalia. He would demand other nations sign trade agreements with his own, send people in his employ to the United Nations to speak on his nations behalf, and push to have his own athletes entered into the olympics.

However time and again Mariposas efforts to have Marapazalia formally recognized as an official nation would be rebuffed, Leading to him declaring war on the world.
Using paid assassins, hired mercenaries, and evil scientists in search of a paycheck, Mariposa would declare war on the world using his vast wealth to get his way.

However whenever he would fail in these efforts and seemingly die, Mariposa would pop back up months later having rebuilt again, pushed once again for Marapazalias recognition again, been rebuffed again, and once again attempt to force the world to give in to his demands.

His seemingly endless amount of wealth focused towards trying to make the world acknowledge Marapazalia as the greatest nation on the globe.

All the while he would be on the look out for his arch nemesis Diana Prince and her sidekick Wonder Woman.
