I think @Batman0803 is onto something here. If you think about it, the Riddler literally puts up over 200 of his Riddler trophies in each game, and ONLY Batman can touch them (the thugs in one of the games mention that they got electrocuted when they tried to take one). Clearly a villain such as the Riddler has so much (unnecessary) dedication into gaining attention from his greatest foe Batman (totally not as his senpai). So y’know what, I’m taking back my long explanation of there being at least two main villains per game, it’s the Riddler, because he’s an attention hog in the games, and we never even get to physically fight him at all, he hides behind his screen and intercoms, especially in Arkham Knight, I think that’s when players hate him the most. (Reminds me of all the fandom gatekeepers that hide behind screens, now that I think about it 
)
Yep, changed my mind, it’s the Riddler. That’s it, I can go home now.
