Whose your favorite? Mine is Batman, but to name one besides the main: Mine would be probably Hawkman. The reason why is the story is so cool to me with the ancient Egypt storyline, and the fact does resemble some of the statues that sit in Egypt. Plus I like their superpowers and the nth metal that stops all magic. I feel like it’s a way for them to level the playing field. Just an awesome character to me.
Mine would be superman he’s so powerful
Superman. The Christopher Reeves movies were pretty important to me.
I also tend to like generational hero’s post silver-age: Wally West, Kyle Raynor, Ray
And I have a soft spot for any Keith Giffen JLI charters (Booster, Beetle, Fire, Ice, Guy Gardner, etc…)
The greatest DC character ever is Martian Manhunter, Through him we see the quest to understand what humanity is. They have done this before with androids like Red Tornado and done it well but never as well as they have done with J’onn an outsider hwo is constantly watching and learning. He was the conscience of the Justice League for a long time someone with powers and abilities who would trade it all in a second for family, something he finds in the league. Now he has been replaced by Cyborg who was intended to fill this role with the Titans and through who’s eyes we will see this particular part of J’onns story continue. However this does not make the Martian Manhunter any less important. He has been and still should be a lynch pin of the DC universe for decades. While his origins may have changed his basic core self has not a misplaced alien through time and space depending on the origin who can make himself physically fit in but can never understand the nuances of humanity. He has more power than Clark but not the upbringing. He truly is a force to be reckoned with and a lost soul in desperate need of understanding and acceptance. In short he is awesome.
tornado, cap atom, and Zee
Batman (as drawn by Jim Aparo) and Phantom Sttanger
It would be between Batman and Wonder Woman.
Batman is a symbol of mental health and the way he used it for good. He thought me to embrace it and help others who struggle.
Wonder Woman led minorities to do stuff the society wouldn’t let them do. As a person of color, this meant alot to me.
Booster Gold is the best character DC has to offer in my opinion! Created as the first post-Crisis superhero by the great Dan Jurgens, Michael Jon Carter was a 25th century football player who bet on his own games and washed out. He took a demeaning job as a janitor at a superhero museum, where he befriended the security robot Skeets. Trying to emulate the heroes of the past, he stole some fully functional gear and a working time sphere and traveled back to the past to make a name for himself.
Eventually he would prove that he has what it takes to be a real hero, but his journey there is an incredible thing. He may not have started out that way, but now he’s the greatest hero you’ve (probably) never heard of!
Superman, He always does what’s right.
Hard to say who would be my absolute favorite. Hal Jordan is defiantly in the top five, and Green Lantern comics are what really got me into collecting comic books. I also really like Hawkman, silver age Katar Hol is my favorite incarnation, Superman, Batman, and rounding out the number five spot would be Nightwing. From there I would include Animal Man, Swamp Thing, Martian Manhunter, Booster Gold, Green Arrow…the list just continues for ever. You would be hard pressed to find a DC character I don’t love.
Thomas Wayne Batman, Flashpoint edition. He would be the actual result of in real life scenario.
I posted yesterday saying it was between Superman and Flash. But it’s more between Flash and Green Lantern. Hal Jordan specifically (though I find John Stewart to be a more compelling character) because he was the first superhero who’s series I read when I got into comics.
I always loved the Titans the most and Donna Troy was always my favorite, because of her complicated history, and even though she was insanely powerful she was still down to earth
Batman. Because of his detective skills and doing what is right no matter what.
Mine is Black Canary but I love Batman
Green lai
I meant green lantern
“Batman,” he is the most grounded in reality. The “Batman’s” rogues gallery is second to none, a hero is only as good as his villain.
Jason Todd/Red Hood because he’s a badass and a tragedy.
Its between Impulse and Brainiac 5
