Who is your dream Creative Team/DC character match?

Think of a your favorite writer/artist/colorist/letterer/etc. Now match them on a dream book with your favorite DC character or team. Continuity, imprint, format are all of your choosing.

I’ll start: LOBO as a four-issue premium-format miniseries from DC Black Label. Steve Orlando and Matteo Scalera, with Nate Piekos on letters and FCO Plascencia on colors.

What about you guys?

Well, my favorite character is Batman and my favorite superhero writer is Paul Dini, so I don’t have to look too far to find that combination.

Artist-wise, I maintain that DC should get Project Cadmus to make a whole bunch of clones of George Perez and have them do like 90% of the art for all DC books. I can’t think of any work Perez did on the Bat-books off the top of my head, so that’s one that would be cool that didn’t actually happen.

Grant Morrison on Shazam! could be good. Off the walls weird, but good. That being said, I’m perfectly happy with Geoff Johns at the reins.

Maybe a Flash team book with all the different speedsters (Barry, Wally, Bart, Jay, Jessie etc.) Written by Geoff Johns and Mark Waid with art by Barry Kitson and maybe Mike Allred.

I’d love to see Geoff Johns and Jim Lee on the Wonder Woman ongoing.

It’d complete individual Trinity stories for each talent.

That’s a good idea, @Vroom. Johns has had a run with pretty much every major JLA member but Wondie.

I remember Scott Snyder saying a while back that he had ideas for a Wonder Woman story that I would LOVE to see.

I’d go with John Ostander scripting, Tom Mandrake on inks/pencils, and Tatjana Wood on colors on a 12 issue maxie series. Concept: Phantom Stranger and Swamp Thing as roomies, both working for public utilities as PR reps, both put on the spot to dispel a despot Anti Monitor who has been summoned to become mayor. High Adventure! Municipal Mashup!
