No, sorry. It was Hob “Robert” Gadling. His first appearance was in Sandman Vol. 2, “The Doll’s House” (the mansion of an effigy). He felt that dying was a “mug’s game”, thus a sport not for him. He became a slave trader in many parts of Africa, and regrets that decision to this day. When he was at a Renaissance Faire, he laments that the beer (spirits) just isn’t the same anymore. He also ran into Johanna Constantine during one of his meetings with Dream that happens every 100 years.
