i love good alliteration, how is Captain Cold who may not have finished highschool able to make better ice weapons than the guy with a doctorate in freezing stuff(mr. freeze)?

One thing that bothers me about Mr Freeze is his name. His civilian name is Dr. Fries, so he’s not concealing his identity that much and why would he demote himself from Dr. to mister? At least take credit for all that research you did!

Exactly! Or put a Professor in the front, or Post-Doc, or Professor Emeritus. Class it up a bit.

Oh I know. He became Mr Freeze in the 1966 series but he was named Dr Art Schivel. I meant in newer continuity.

I recall an issue of the Robin II miniseries where Joker called Mister Freeze a second rate Captain Cold (or words to that effect)

Krypto seems more like a timeless name. Ace seems like it is definitely a name of its time that didn’t stay popular as trends changed.
