So I’m re-reading some 80’s Wonder Woman because it’s my free time and I can spend it how I please, and there is an issue where one of her bracelets is destroyed by a dagger of Hephaestus. Without the Bracelets of Submission, an amazon goes berserk (pre-crisis), so while missing one she is in something of a mood (and that is a terrifying thought).
Later in the issue, while in her Diana Prince guise, she is thinking about the loss of her bracelet and it suddenly dawned on me that Diana Prince never has her bracelets on, and I feel rather silly for never having noticed it before, but after reading over 1,000 Wonder Woman comics my mind is screaming the question of WHERE DO THE BRACELETS GO?
I cannot remember an issue where this was discussed. Anyone out there have an answer? I am somewhat concerned I may not be able to sleep tonight.
Your reasoning is sound as she typically wears a suit jacket which would cover them. Batgirl needs sufficient clues to solve the case. I submit the following evidence:
I just assumed that every time Linda Carter, aka Diana Prince, spun around to change into Wonder Woman her costume, tiara, lasso and bracelets were magically retrieved from another dimension. Now in the comics…?
And one of my favorite moments in The 52, when Renee Montoya is talking to a mysterious anonymous woman and then her sleeve rides up: I see you, Diana!
It’s never too late to bring in more information on this topic, especially bracelet-related evidence. I am currently re-reading the post-crisis Perez years. She isn’t using a secret identity right now but as soon as she does I’ll be ready!
