Thanks. May I suggest you not only pass along these requests, but they read the feedback your customers have in this thread. We’ve been waiting a long, long time for these things. I’m glad to know I’m not alone and that other customers feel the same way.
It continues to boggle my mind that somehow, “Super Friends” became a priority over “Action Comics,” “Superman,” many bronze age issues of “Batman” and “Detective Comics” as well. I mean good for the fans of that title, but to me, that’s more of a luxury than a need for what should be the most impressive digital archive material out there.
Feel the exact same way, as my requests are continually ignored I will probably drop my annual subscription and maybe check back in 6 months to see if they added any more 70’s Superman stuff!
I’m sorry you feel that way . Your requests definitely aren’t being ignored. However, the archive team is smaller at the moment, which means some things will take longer to arrive. Please feel free to keep requesting things that you would like to have added to the service.
Please, for the love of Pete!, don’t let them recolor them with modern techniques.
I had gotten a copy of Amazing Fantasy #15 on Comixology a while back and had to buy another Spider-Man comic with a reprint of the story to get it in the original colors.
The first one I had gotten was over-processed Photoshop coloring with too-bright colors and fake-looking gradients. There was absolutely no texture and looked like a sheet of plastic on the screen.
Issues of Tomb of Dracula had been re-colored with bright colors, also, losing a lot of the ambience of the original comics.
The garish coloring made them look like cheap webcomics.
There is a way to touch them up and make them look good without losing the original art.
Welcome to the community @chrisjayc1988.14806! I haven’t read too much of Future State just yet, but I really enjoyed the first issues of Wonder Woman, Catwoman, and Harley Quinn. I’m looking forward to the first issues of Suicide Squad and Aquaman in particular for August.
Please feel free to let the moderator team know if you need anything!
As always I’m looking forward to new comics each month, I would like to apologize to the @Moderators and everybody that work at DC Comics for my two comments on this thread which are now deleted. I felt like a kid who said a terrible things to his parents when they try to do something nice. And they were hurtful I’m sure.
It wasn’t my intention to start a attack on whats coming thread by DC.
Everybody at DC comics are humans and are doing their best.
Sure I really do want to see the missing comics I requested, what I have to remember is there are thousands of DC fans out there with many requests that DC can do so much even during the pandemic.
Again I do apologize to DC and am looking forward to what’s coming, i’m thankful for the comics we have and hope everybody will get their missing comics when the time come.
I am confused by the listing of “DC Connect 16” as being marked as “6 months from release”, when it’s the digital version of the DC solicitation catalog for books coming out in NOVEMBER!!!
I’m glad you listed those out. We’re in the beginning of planning the New to DCUI Book Club suggested readings for August and somehow I didn’t notice the series I’ve been waiting patiently to read on DCUI, Future State: Superman vs. Imperious Lex by Mark Russell!
