Captain Carrot!!! (I hope issue 20 is in January. and if they want to do the Oz-Wonderland War miniseries, it would end close to my birthday.)

Also, glad to see Stargirl and the lost children will continue to be early access. The wait between issues 1 and 2 of monkey king was a bit long.

And I love the title “Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen’s Boss Perry White”

Glad to see that Captain Carrot is being picked back up… but apparently at the expense of Secret Society of Super-Villains, which will be dropped two issues from completion. :anguished: “Why??? Why do you do these things, DC? Whyyyy?!?”, he cried to the heavens.

Also, what is DC Speechless? I’m guessing they’re dialogue-free comics(?), but is it a DCUI exclusive? This is the first I’m hearing about it.

I’ve been told it’s specifically to cause a minor amount of discomfort in your brain :brain:

In all reality though, it’s likely because there was a lot of complaints here that we didn’t end Captain Carrot, so they’ll wrap it up and go back to SSoSV and finish that up too in January / February 2023.

I hate being the contrarian all the time, but all of SSoSV is already digitized. Here is Volume 2, which contains issues 11 through 15 (as well as various issues of Superman Family, DC Special, and Justice League of America). Given that the series has been completely digitized for at least five years (maybe even longer), I’m not sure why the weekly releases need to be paused for Captain Carrot (or why we’ve only been getting one issue a week–why not just put everything up at once?).

People are talking about this in a couple of other threads, but not much offical in reply so I’ll try it here. There are a few of us holding out on upgrading until the full list of Vertigo and collected editions was out. Time is getting short, and there’s a two day holiday in the mix too. These were supposed to be released in mid-November. Personally I’ll settle for just the list so I can make an informed choice.

  1. What is DC Speechless!?

  2. Is Nightwing(2016-) 1 a mistake?

  3. Is it true that we are getting Blue Beetle: Graduation Day and Justice Society of America for Ultra (if so that’s awesome)?

Both books come out in print/digital next Tuesday, so this listing is the normal time that they would go on Ultra.

Very glad to see we’re finishing up Captain Carrot! I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m always reluctant to start a series until it’s fully up, just in case. Speaking of unfinished series, do you know if we’re going to get the rest of Zatanna (1993) and Superman: The Secret Years? Both are only 4 issue minis, but only the first issue of each was digitized. I was really looking forward to doing a Zatanna binge, and was pretty disappointed it got dropped so quickly.

A few new vertigo titles rolled out last night, including Sheriff of Babylon, and v.1 each of Transmetropolitan and 100 Bullets. Nice to get a few tidbits at least. DC’s way of letting Ultra subscribers know they aren’t forgotten?

I agree on DC Speechless! Interestingly, it is listed as Issue 2. If there was an Issue 1, I missed it. Also, it shows a release date of 12/15, which is a Thursday, not the usual Tuesday. Of course, all of these could just be typos and mean nothing. I guess we’ll see.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re prepping for a rollout. It seems like these are available for all readers- it’s not unusual to have the first issue/volume available to give everyone a taste and lock the rest behind the paywall. I suspect that’s what’s happening here.
